Story
Meet Benny, a handsome 4 year old neutered male wire haired terrier mix, weighing about 65 lbs! Benny and his brother Remie were sadly surrendered by their owner when the owner could no longer care for them (through no fault of the dogs).
Benny is a super sweet dog that is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.
From Benny's current foster:
"It’s been two days with Benny and I think his favorite thing is being called a good boy He flops on his back as soon you start to pet him and will hold on to your hand with his paws so you don’t stop. He has been very respectful of my 9yo dog who doesn’t have much energy to play and has kept up with the crazy playful dogs he got to meet today. He is housebroken and doesn’t protest the crate too much (though I’m not sure he really needs one). If I was looking for another dog, he would absolutely be staying with me. He’s such a happy, easy boy."
He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this sweet boy today!

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
