Story
Meet Robbie!-6 month old mixed breed pup-Weighs 42lbs-Came into the Shelter as a stray so we do not know about his life before nowRobbie is in a foster home learning about the world and preparing for adoption. His foster reports: `Robbie is a sweet boy. He loves to sit in your lap and put his head on your shoulder. He is still learning that the world can be a safe place for him so he does get nervous but with love and encouragement he does work through his fear. When I picked him up just about a week ago he wouldn’t walk through the doorway and now he walks through them like a pro. He sleeps while through the night in his crate. He can also be left in his crate reliably when you leave. He does love having a crate(his safe space). He is doing well with potty training and reliable goes potty outside with a proper schedule. Another than a few pee accidents in inside his crate the first couple nights he hasn’t had in accident inside/in crate since( probably nerves). He is a typical happy hyper puppy once he feels safe. Loves playful respectful dogs. He is also very polite with cats. He would definitely benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. He is such a lover and does not have puppy mouth. He is very polite with his teeth basically only licks you.`Now through December 23rd – the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is hosting “Home for the Holidays”.
