Story
Elle, also known as “Eleven,” is a 6-year-old Pomeranian with a big personality and an even bigger love for her people. She currently weighs about 15 pounds but should be under 10, so she’s on a structured weight loss plan and already making great progress toward a healthier, more active life.
Elle is incredibly sweet, friendly, and loves people of all ages. She enjoys being near her person, happily following along throughout the day, but she also appreciates having her own cozy spot to retreat to, whether that’s a dog bed, the couch, or a chair. When she wants attention, she makes it known with enthusiastic kisses in exchange for pets and belly rubs.
She gets along well with other dogs and is starting to show more interest in playing, though she still prefers interacting with her people. Around food, she can be a bit opportunistic and will try to sneak bites or investigate other dogs’ meals, so mealtimes should be supervised and structured. She is very food motivated and will happily hunt for anything that hits the floor, so consistency with her diet will be important for her continued success.
Elle walks nicely on leash, enjoys time in the yard, and rides well in the car. She may bark briefly when you leave, just to let you know she has opinions about it, but settles well afterward. She sleeps in her own bed at night and will let you know when she needs to go outside.
She is currently on a strict feeding plan and will need an adopter committed to maintaining her routine, including measured meals and healthy treat options like small pieces of fruits and vegetables.
Elle previously had a recessed vulva, which has been surgically corrected, and she has recovered well.
Elle is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. She is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention.
