Meet Odaeng❤️
💙 Odeang's Updates Account: @hooi.zip
1.) Health Status
* Neutering: Completed.
* Others: Microchipped, and heartworm retest scheduled (July 2026)
2.) Rescue Story
* We met Odaeng while Adogs was volunteering to prepare for winter at the Gimje Shelter. The weather was getting colder, and the shelter was struggling with poor conditions and a spreading contagious disease. It seemed too dangerous for Odaeng to endure those surroundings, so Adogs rescued him urgently.
3.) Personality & Characteristics
* With Humans: He is quite shy and fearful. He tends to hide in corners to avoid touch, but when forced to accept pets, he stays still without running away. He’s currently slowly but surely opening his heart to his foster parent. Previously, when he was adjusting to the Adogs Center, he stayed in one spot, but he ate and did potty when no one was around.
* With Dogs: He prefers calm and dogs that are slow to approach, rather than young and energetic puppies. He sniffs other dogs and wags his tail slightly. He stays still when overly energetic dogs come running over.
* With Cats: He hasn't met any cats yet.
* Separation Anxiety: Unknown yet as it hasn't been long since he moved to his foster home.
* Potty Training: After one potty mistake at the Center, he has been using indoor pads very well. Prefers outdoor potty and potties right away when he goes outside.
* Hygiene: He was very calm and well-behaved when getting groomed, bathed, blow dryed, and brushed.
* Walks: He is apprehensive of the leash and pulls on it. He is fine using harnesses, so he’s being walked on a double leash. He greets dogs who approach slowly, but stays still when overly energetic dogs approach. Really likes to run during walks.
* Car Sickness: He rides well in cars without any motion sickness.
* Biting: He has never shown any signs of biting.
* Barking: He hasn't shown any unnecessary barking. Even when he hears noises outside, he might tilt his head, but he doesn't bark.
* Likes: Really likes running during walks. Prefers spending time alone, quietly.
* Dislikes: He takes some time to adjust to new environments. You will need to wait patiently until Odaeng feels comfortable.
