Animal Profile: Marley is an almost 4-year-old neutered male 60lb mixed breed (DNA test showed German Shorthaired Pointer, Lab, Pitbull). He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs, has lived without issues with cats, and is a loyal companion to his people. He is discerning with new people but not reactive. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house-trained, crate-trained and has good basic obedience training. We will share more as we get to know him in foster care. Adopter Profile: Other dogs OK (not required) Cats OK Dog-savvy older kids considered Fenced yard preferred Large breed experience Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. We’ve got puppies! These adorable 2-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer mixes are ready to strike out on their own! Hilda, Gretchen, Greta, and Helga are friendly, spunky, and full of personality. They are very young and are looking for experienced adopters who can help teach them all about the world. They will need help with their potty training, leash training, and socialization. These four do well with other dogs but we don’t know about cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. These pups can be jumpy and nibbly, and will likely do best with older, dog-experienced kids who are comfortable around puppies. Romeo is a big GSP that needs a lot of training to be the best boy he can be. He has been allowed to rule the roost and has not had a job to help him focus. He will need a person that understands the needs of his breed. He is a hunting dog that has not been allowed to hunt, so he has a lot of pent up energy and anxiety. He had basic obedience training as a young pup, but that has not been kept up. He needs to work on his manners, and a child free home would be best. We know he was raised with another dog, but he has not been around cats. He enjoys car rides, playing in the water, going for walks, and chewing. This dog is a diamond in the rough and with the right home he will truly shine.

Animal Profile: Harvey is an 15 month old male Pointer/Pit bull mix. His foster in Texas says he is friendly with people, great with the resident dogs and respectful of the cats. He is very treat motivated, and is doing well with potty training. He's also learned to sit nicely for his treats! Foster Update: Harvey is a sweet, well mannered boy who loves a good snack and can’t wait to play with his toys. He’s getting along great with the resident dogs and has great play tendencies with all dogs we’ve seen him play with. He’s a little timid when meeting new people but warms up with a little time and some gentle support. Harvey is potty trained and is very well crate trained (he loves to spend time in his crate!). Harvey is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and a canine companion. Harvey will need an experienced large breed owner to help teach him boundaries. We are not considering homes with small children at this time.
