Story
Meet Madi!
I received a message from a sweet young lady, that had just saved Madi. She saw Madi lying in the ditch right off the road and she had been hit by a car. This Good Samaritan’s name is Madison! (That’s why I decided to call her Madi)
Madison ran Madi to the nearest vet and explained she had just been hit, but she didn’t have the money to pay for the vet bills. She started contacting rescues because she didn’t want to take her to the Cleveland shelter after things she had been hearing. Neither one of us could stand the thought of her being put down just for a broken leg, so she’s safe. Her stray hold has ended, although I strongly believe she had been dumped and there was no microchip.
After a few vet visits, it was decided that she needed to have her back left leg amputated. It was not easiest amputation and she had to spend about 3 weeks at the vet. She is now doing GREAT! She runs and plays just like any other dog here with 4 legs!
The vet estimated she was born sometime in the month of March 2024. and currently she weighs around 30ish pounds. She is current on all shots, heartworm tested negative, and current on heartworm prevention. She will be spayed and microchipped on January 7th and available for adoption after that!
She does great with all people and pets she’s met, however she doesn’t like to share her food! So, I typically feed her in her kennel. She definitely loves running and playing in the fenced yard here, so a fence to play in (not to live in) is preferred. She is crate/house trained as long as she gets regular potty breaks. However, please expect accidents in the beginning especially, until she settles in.
Madi’s vet bills was nearly $2,500. Obviously we are not asking that for the adoption fee. Her adoption fee is $200 to an approved and loving home. All vet records (there are a lot lol) will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption.
To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com
*We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.*
The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly.
Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply.
Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!
