This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue. Please contact the owner listed below directly Rosie is an almost 4 year old (5/28/2020) Short Hair Pointer Mix. She is the snuggliest, softest love bug. She is 60-65lbs. She loves walks, hikes, dog parks, playing fetch in fields, going for rides in the car and visiting stores like Home Goods or Home Depot. She is a true companion. She is timid with new people but when she earns your trust she is a true best friend. Rosie went to a 6 week training camp at Balanced K9 in Fairfield CT. Sikhae is a wonderful one-year-old rescue pup who has been part of our family since she was just a puppy. She’s not only potty-trained but also knows a variety of commands like “sit,” “down,” “settle,” and “home.” Sikhae is full of energy and has a friendly, outgoing personality that makes her a joy to be around. She’d be happiest in a home where she can stay active and have plenty of space to play. If you’re looking for a loving, energetic companion, Sikhae would be the perfect addition to your family!

Story
Birthdate: 1/10/2016Breed: One of a kindRemi is a good boy with everyone he meets! He especially loves to go out for his walks and spend time with his favorite volunteers. You will often find Remi in a play yard romping and hopping with his little tail wagging. Remi would do best in a home with an experienced owner, someone that can give him a loving routine and some exercise! If you are that person, you truly will have the best of friends in Remi. *Remi would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.January 21, 2025, 1:16 am

Story
My name is Maisie Joy. A kind lady found me outside in her yard one day. This lady had another dog though that didn’t want to be my friend. So I ended up at the shelter. Man is it scary there. Thankfully my foster parents found me and are letting me crash at their house till my furever family finds me. I have so much joy in my heart and love to share. I’m only 2 years old (and I weigh 62 lbs) however I’ve already had a litter of pups. My foster parents helped me fix that and I'm spayed now.  So now I’m finally ready to find my perfect forever home!! Let me tell you about myself... my foster parents think I’m a german short haired pointer. I love to talk and tell you anything on my mind. I love to run and play and I adore walks. My perfect family would be very active and like to play with me and take me for walks etc. Im good at car rides too, I just need dramamine first. I love toys and oh boy do I love bones! My foster parents have crate trained me and so I know when they say to “kennel up” what I'm supposed to do. I have a foster sister (gsaralum Sasha ) who I love to play with. I'm very interested in my foster kitty, but she never wants to play with me. Anyhow, if I sound like your perfect match please reach out to gimme shelter. I can’t wait to meet you!!” We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard. Not electric or Fido fences, as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500 which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Story
Strawberry frosted (aka Bubba, Bubs, Babygirl, Princess) is a total sweetheart - intiitally skeptical of us upon pickup, she has quickly warmed to us and the neighborhood. She needs lots of reassurance and encouragement, but she is quickly gaining confidence, and loves the park and running around. She will let you pick her up, brush her teeth, and give her a bath - she is sweet and gentle and acts like a little princess when she is in a comfortable space. She does not like sudden noises and is still getting used to the sights and sounds of the city, but is brave enough to face every walk with cautious enthusiasm!Personality & Characteristics: Curious, sweet, goofy - Strawberry frosted is the people's princess and loves attention, cuddles, and quality time - she's been the star of many a dinner party already. Verdict is still out on other dogs - she does get nervous when any dog is really close (be it a chiuaua or a german sherpherd)), but once she can smell and investigate, she is happy to play and make friends! She needs a human who will guide her out of her comfort zone and help her to get used to the world around her. She has had no issues with any dogs, cats, or kids we've come across, but does get hyperfixtated when a dog is far away and she can't investigate! She is almost crate and house trained, but has had a few accidents when settling into her new home due to nerves. 3 Keywords for your pup: Sweet, gentle, curiousEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 8- Strawberry frosted encompasses all sides of the spectrum - she has no problem sitting at home while we WFH and spends all night in her crate, but also LOVES to run and play when she is at the park. When she is in a familar park she knows, she loves to run at full speed and is very fast! After we're tired her out, it's stragiht to a nap where she curls up on the hardwood.Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: VERY quiet - she has not barked once! She does whine when she is hungry or wants to go out.Walking Manners: Strawberry frosted is still warming up to the outdoors and noises of city life, but when she gets moving, she goes pretty quick! She is very nervous with loud, sudden noises outside. She loves long walks and is taken out for 45+ minutes at least once a day - you can tell she is fit and can go go go, but as of now, she's too scared to make it too far, so we do lots of laps! She does pull on the leash, but we're learning how to walk better!Appetite: Is uninteresting in food when she is nervous or stressed, but eats her full bowl twice daily when she is at home and comfortableDoes the following: She does not get car sick, but is definitely nervous in new spaces. She is great with new people and the vaccuum, but the outside has been a little scary for her. We've left her alone and uncrated for short stretches and she does great. Favorite Things: Peanut butter, her rope toys, nappingCommands/Tricks:  Not there yet! But she's very smart and we're learning! ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States ##2283382##
