Story
Onyx is one of our Path To Home Dogs who was adopted earlier this summer. We are sad to say that he is in need of a new home, though no fault of his own. One of his family members is having serious medical problems and they can no longer care for him. Onyx is still with them but VFA will be screening to assist with rehoming. Here is some information from his family. Onyx is lovable mix of Dalmatian and Hound.  He weighs 55 lbs. is about 1.5 to 2 years old. Onyx is neutered, house trained, chipped (paid for one year), crate trained.  He knows and obeys military signs for sit, down, stay and leave it. He is fully vaccinated. Onyx loves people, loves to play and very loyal. He is good with other dogs and older children, but no cats please. The only reason Onyx is leaving us is a family medical condition. Please consider him. Please email us at info@vol4animals.org if you are interested in this wonderful pup.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $60 fee for any animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.November 2, 2024, 4:17 pm
