Story
Buttercup is such a wonderful dog and I love her so much. We have had her for 4 years and she is very well behaved. Barks only when she needs to, is crate trained, loves to snuggle and her tennis balls. She aims to please her person and will give you all the love. The reason we are looking for a new home is because she is displaying jealousy over my 4yo. She is fine with my 8 year old. She was rescued as a puppy but was rehomed because she didn't get around with her litter mate. She had leash aggression but will entirely focus on her ball when walking and ignore other dogs. I want her to be happy and comfortable. She will need walked or to pay fetch but otherwise she is low maintenance. She will come with her belongings.

These pups are in Indianapolis, Indiana too!

Story
Meet Atlas! This guy ended up with Helping Paws after not adjusting well to life with the addition of a baby to the family. He is a very sweet and sensitive boy and can get easily spooked by kiddos that move too quickly. But he is currently in a foster home with older children and is doing great! He also came to us very nervous of men, but has gotten MUCH better since first arriving and gaining more confidence. He has the best tail wag where all of his butt wiggles and it will melt anyone's heart! Atlas knows a lot of commands and is pretty good listener since all he wants to do his please his people :) He is housetrained and crate trained as well. He does ok in car, but it isn't his favorite thing. He also is doing well working on his leash training. Atlas needs a little bit to warm up to new dogs (again, it's just a lack of confidence with him), but once he does, he loves to run and play! He has become the resident puppy babysitter in his foster home and loves to run around with a toy so the puppies chase him! He can sometimes guard his toys with other animals, but we are working on correcting that as well and he's doing great. He did live with cats previously and currently has cats in his foster home, although he sometimes gets a little too interested in them so a dog savvy cat or no cats would probably best. Atlas' adoption fee is $250 and he comes vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative and is current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Story
Greetings and Salutations my fine fellow citizens of Indianapolis and surrounding areas!! SPLAT!!! no, that`s not just a noise that`s my NAME! Splat! I`m a fun loving pup of only ten months old and I weigh 42 pounds. It should be expected that I`ll get a bit bigger before I`m all finished growing. Would you just take a moment and look at my big puppy dog eyes and all my wonderful spots! Yeah... I`m super cute. Unfortunately I came to IACS as a stray so not a whole lot is known about the ten months before I came to the shelter. Good News.. I`m still a pup. There`s still pleanty of time to write a beautiful future together. All I`m missing is YOU! If I sound like your kind of good boy, then please head over here and let`s play! I might need some time in my new home to decompress and process my new surroundings before meeting the whole gang. That`s ok though because IACS offers a cuddle before you commit program to ensure I am the best fit for you and your home. We`ll have pleanty of time to get to know everyone! *Please apply on our website at indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. *Click on the adoption application link, enter your information, and click submit. You can include multiple pets that you are interested in on one application. *Once you have submitted your adoption application, please visit the shelter to speak with one of our Adoption Counselors, who will assist you with meeting some of our animals. *We offer a Cuddle before you Commit program where you can slowly introduce it to the rest of your animals and family, and then finalize your decision. I hope to see you soon!
