Story
Brutus is a sweet boy who needs someone to love and play with. We guess him to be around 1.5-2 years old. He’s very energetic. Loves to be outside. He loves to play ball! We believe him to be a pointer and therefore we think he could make a good hunting buddy. He really needs a fenced in yard to run in. Does fine around cats but does enjoy chasing them if they run. I think he would be good with a canine companion as long as they are patient and it would probably be best if they were close to his size. He’s also been around kids and does great.

Story
He was found in Alabama under a camper starving and scared! Some friends of ours found him and they were gonna put him in the pound and my fiance; fell in love with him so we took him home! He is so kind and sweet and LOVES attention. He is very intelligent! When he is excited he will jump and do many circles! He has so much energy. We have only had him for a couple of months but we did notice how he is aggressive when it comes to food around other dogs. Which we have another dog but recently he has been fighting with him because he wants the attention and all the food. He is an only dog and being an only dog is okay. Other than this he is amazing little dog but we cannot keep him 😭😔 He is crate trained and potty trained and is very good with kids and people. This is very hard for me and my fiance but we know this is for Doritos best interest and he just needs to be an only dog with an active family!

Story
Ripley is such a sweetheart with his friendly personality and playful nature. He absolutely loves being around people, even kids, and he’s ready for his forever home! One thing to know about Ripley is that he has tons of energy! You could say he’s got the spirit of a triathlete, which means he’ll need a decent amount of good exercise each day to keep him happy and healthy. While he was originally bred for hunting, you don’t have to go on hunts to give him joy. Active families will adore having Ripley around since he’s always up for fun adventures like runs, hikes, and even bike rides. He’ll be your loyal companion, trotting happily alongside you on any long hike or run you can manage. Plus, his smarts and athleticism make him a fantastic candidate for agility training! Ripley loves to learn and has a strong desire to have a purpose, so he’s usually very open to picking up new tricks and skills throughout his life. Just remember, consistency is key, and he responds best when you are a firm and confident leader. While Ripley is wonderful with humans and other dogs, he’s not exactly a fan of cats. Overall, though, he’s a delightful companion ready to fill your life with joy and adventure! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Reese is a beautiful 5year old girl. We got her from a shelter in Brandon, Mississippi. My son is now in college and I recently took a job transfer out of state. My son lives on campus. We love Reese and hate to put her up for adoption but she needs a nice home with a fenced yard. Reese loves to run and play. We are heartbroken but only have a few options.

Story
Meet Liam! He is an energetic, 4 and a half year old Pointer mix who is looking for a forever home. He would make anyone a great hiking or running companion (his foster mom jogs 8 miles a day with him!). Liam is GREAT with kids and cats! However, he is dog selective. He does great in his foster home with her older, laid back dog, but he is not all about that puppy energy. He likes to do his own thing with his family and doesn't want to be bothered with other dogs. He currently shares his home with two blind cats, an older dog, and teenagers and he LOVES all little kids that he meets! If you are interested in adopting Liam, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-1277 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.
