Story
Meet Shadow, a loyal and affectionate companion who lives up to his name by staying by your side wherever you go. Shadow thrives on being with his family, happily following you from room to room and keeping you company throughout the day. His favorite activities include cuddling, snuggling, and showing his playful side with zoomies in the yard, especially when he has a dog friend to chase. Shadow is an excellent watchdog, alerting you to any visitors or animals that might be around. He is naturally submissive and playful with other dogs. While he may be best suited for a home with older children or adults, he’s eager to build a bond with his new family. Shadow does have some anxiety, particularly when on a leash, which can make walks a bit challenging. However, he feels much more comfortable in a secure, fenced yard where he can explore freely. With the right environment and a family that understands his quirks, Shadow will be the perfect, loving companion!  Shadow’s ideal owners would be: Patient and understanding: Someone who can gently help him manage his anxiety, especially around new stimuli. Have a fenced yard: He thrives in a large, secure yard where he can run freely without the need for a leash. Adults or families with older children: Best suited for homes without small children, but he could do well with older, respectful kids. Homebodies or work-from-home: He loves spending time with his family and will be happiest in a home where someone is around often. Experienced dog owners: Ideally, someone who understands how to work with a dog that has leash anxiety and can provide a calm, structured environment. ##2177020##

Story
Go Gunner go! We are so proud of our warrior pup Gunner. As many of you will remember, back in May we took in a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy who'd been hit by a car and was critically injured. Over the last several months Gunner has received ALL of the best medical care we could provide, largely thanks to your generous donations. Gunner has been working through physical therapy and has truly made an incredible recovery - he is an inspiration to all of us! While Gunner might not ever walk completely normal, it certainly does not slow him down. But let's be honest, when have the words "normal" and "young GSP" ever been used in the same sentence? ;) In true GSP fashion, he is ready to GO GO GO! He absolutely adores his GSP foster siblings and he will need a home with another high energy dog who loves to play. He just celebrated his first birthday a couple weeks ago, and he is just the happiest, derpiest, sweetest, silliest boy ever. We know he's going to make some family VERY happy! Gunner is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and he's all ready to find his new family! He needs a family with high energy breed experience, and he also needs a family who is willing to continue working on his physical therapy exercises with him to make sure he stays in the best shape possible! Gunner is fostered in Sarasota, Florida and his adoption fee is $400. If you think you could be the right fit for this beautiful goofball, please complete an adoption application at the link below or email us at info@love4pawsfl.org for more info! https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
Where are all of our Pointer lovers at?! This pair is a DREAM! We know our L4P family loves 'em! We'd like to introduce Ace and Pepper, a bonded pair of German Shorthaired Pointers. Ace is the liver roan male and is 9 years old, while Pepper is the black roan female and is 8 years old. Ace and Pepper were a breeder pair and they were surrendered to us by the breeder where they'd lived their whole lives outside - and big surprise they were BOTH Heartworm positive. They have both successfully kicked Heartworm disease's butt and are healthy and ready to find their new home together! Ace and Pepper have been together all of Pepper's life and they really do adore each other and need to stay together. They are the best of friends, following each other around constantly and finding comfort in each other. Given their senior age, they are well matured beyond the wild, crazy GSP puppy stage. They do still have plenty of energy to be active and have fun, but they also appreciate the finer things in life like being lazy with their people. They get along with all dogs, however small animals are not going to work with them. They are GSP's after all, and their age has not tempered their prey drive. Ace is neutered and Pepper is spayed, and they're both microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and best of all HEARTWORM NEGATIVE! They are fostered in the Tampa, Florida area and their adoption fee together is $300. If you are interested in adding this beautiful pair to your family, please complete an adoption application at the link below or email us at info@love4pawsfl.org for more information! https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process
