Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
My name is Maisie Joy. A kind lady found me outside in her yard one day. This lady had another dog though that didn’t want to be my friend. So I ended up at the shelter. Man is it scary there. Thankfully my foster parents found me and are letting me crash at their house till my furever family finds me. I have so much joy in my heart and love to share. I’m only 2 years old (and I weigh 62 lbs) however I’ve already had a litter of pups. My foster parents helped me fix that and I'm spayed now.  So now I’m finally ready to find my perfect forever home!! Let me tell you about myself... my foster parents think I’m a german short haired pointer. I love to talk and tell you anything on my mind. I love to run and play and I adore walks. My perfect family would be very active and like to play with me and take me for walks etc. Im good at car rides too, I just need dramamine first. I love toys and oh boy do I love bones! My foster parents have crate trained me and so I know when they say to “kennel up” what I'm supposed to do. I have a foster sister (gsaralum Sasha ) who I love to play with. I'm very interested in my foster kitty, but she never wants to play with me. Anyhow, if I sound like your perfect match please reach out to gimme shelter. I can’t wait to meet you!!” We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard. Not electric or Fido fences, as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500 which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Our behavior specialist can help you get to know him better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 4, 2024, 10:30 am
