Rosie is a beautiful loving girl. She is being fostered with us. However she needs a much more active family for her breed. She is currently a velcro dog but, with an experienced adopter Rosie can be an amazing family pup. She is reactive and needs slow introduction to new dogs. She has high anxiety but settles in after about 2 weeks. With dedicated training and support She can absolutely flourish.

This is a Courtesy Listing and has no affiliation with Petrescue. Please contact the owner listed below directly Rosie is an almost 4 year old (5/28/2020) Short Hair Pointer Mix. She is the snuggliest, softest love bug. She is 60-65lbs. She loves walks, hikes, dog parks, playing fetch in fields, going for rides in the car and visiting stores like Home Goods or Home Depot. She is a true companion. She is timid with new people but when she earns your trust she is a true best friend. Rosie went to a 6 week training camp at Balanced K9 in Fairfield CT. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 4, 2024, 10:30 am

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Ally - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello...everyone out there!! My name is Ally and I'm here looking for a home, a family, one to call my very own. And since you're reading this, could it possibly be that it could be with YOU?!! I am around 3 years and am very loving, affectionate and ready for playtime. I love to be on the go exploring this big ole world and would do best with an active family that would want to include me in their activities and adventures, anything from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting. I love going for car rides and also meeting people, there's no strangers out there for me. So FYI, I'm just gonna come right out and tell you...our walks may take a tad bit longer as I love to greet everyone!! I come in at about 55ish lbs. A pawsomely perfect medium size for those long walks, nature hikes and of course those belly rubs I absolutely adore getting. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! Oh and guess what?! I'm already house trained! We can get right to the fun stuff...right away!! I'm good with people both tall and small and other doggies! I would make a great playmate to either a 2 or 4 legged 'sibling' or a terrific sidekick as your one and only! But I do have to tell you that every once in a while I get a little excited and may accidently topple a wee little one. I am so looking forward to being your FBF (furry best friend), your constant in this world, your heart beat at your feet!! If I sound like a perfect match for your home and lifestyle please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Story
Fiona needs a new foster or foster-to-adopt home. About three years old, Fiona came from a large hoarding situation. She is a shy, gentle girl who needs TLC and time to get comfortable in a home. Fiona loves other dogs and we would like to see her in a home with at least one other dog. The activity level of small children would scare her, so an adult home or one with older children would be ideal. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard, and a family who has experience and patience. To foster or foster-to-adopt Fiona please fill out our application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application NOTE: Foster or foster-to-adopt families must be located within the state of Connecticut.

Story
Lyla just loves playing with other dogs She's shy with new people and takes a little time to realize you're just a new friend she hasn't met yet - but a few treats and some time and she'll figure it out! She'd love a home with a securely fenced yard (she hasn't figured out leashes yet) and a dog friend or two - and would be happy to live with teenaged children. This sweet girl came from a large hoarding situation and she has come so far! These days she's a happy girl - and is ready and waiting to find her forever home. If that home could be yours, please fill out an application - https://www.furryfriendsct.org/adoption-application
