Meet Kora! This beautiful girl is a two-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix that had not been dealt the kindest cards in life. Sweet Kora spent the last year and a half tethered to a small pole in a tiny backyard. She had no cover from the rain, wind or blistering heat. Instead she endured endless hours alone with no human or dog companion interaction and just sat linked to a pole by a leash. But fortunately she was rescued and now lives in a loving foster home! Kora instantly opened up to all her foster siblings and a beautiful spirit began to emerge. The most playful and happy girl surprised everyone with a goofy personality that had been hidden under tremendous sadness. Kora is crate trained, almost potty trained and does good in the car when she isn’t in a crate. Kora never had walks in her life, so we are working diligently on her ability to relax on leash instead of letting her wiggles get the best of her. Kora has endured so much sadness in her life but you’d never know it. Her beautiful soul comes out in everyone she hugs. She follows you like a shadow and loves being in your company. She's shy around strangers. especially men, but is quick to become friends with anyone if they're holding a treat. She is the kind of dog that would prefer a one-person home. Someone who is looking for a low maintenence companion that loves attention, walks, and can do just fine when you need to go about your day. She needs a home with NO KIDS. She's good with other older and mature dogs but would be happiest as the only dog. With all that said, she is very sweet and loving. She'll put her head in your lap and look at you with the most adoring eyes. She is 100% house trained, she rides well in the car, and likes walks. She's a hidden gem for sure!
