Story
**Max is a Patient Paw, please ask about their reduced adoption fee and the possibility of a sleepover!**** Max is in the process of getting adopted! **A little bit about Max:-Kids: Has history living with children. All interactions should be supervised. Recommended to go to a home with people 8 years and older due to size.-Cats/Small Animals: No history with cats. All interactions should be gone slowly and over a period of time.-Dogs: Has history of living with dogs in the past. Potential for dog in home with successful dog-to-dog interaction. Reactivity has been noted in shelter.Max is a fun-loving, high-energy boy looking for a family who’s ready for adventure. This enthusiastic guy has lived with kids before and would love a home that can match his zest for life, but we recommend going to a home with older children, as max can be quite enthusiastic and forget how big he is, and he is still working on his ideal doggy manners. Max thrives when he has plenty of exercise, whether that’s long daily walks, exploring the outdoors, or lots of time playing in the yard. Max has lived with dogs in the past, but he’s shown some reactivity toward other dogs (as well as trucks and buses) so his future family will need to help him continue working on calm, positive experiences. When Max wants attention, he’ll let you know, as he’s quite the talker and isn’t shy about barking to get your attention! Max does have some medical care that would be required by his future family, but our adoptions team can tell you all about that. Underneath all that energy, though, he’s a big-hearted boy who just wants to be included and loved. If you’re looking for a spirited, outgoing companion who will happily join you on every outing, Max might be your perfect match!

Manchas

Pointer Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)

Female, 7 mos
Calgary, AB
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Born June 2025, Manchas and her siblings were puppies on the street far too young. Thankfully a kind stranger took them in for a few weeks while they waited for space to open up at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta. While we’re so happy she’s off the street, she belongs in a home with a family who loves her. We think she’ll grow to about 30 lbs. She is a mixed breed which may include terrier and pointer, and her name translates to “spots” for her beautiful and unique red spots on her white coat. Manchas was good tested with cats – she was very curious. As Manchas has spent her early life in sanctuary she prefers walking with other dogs and might like a dog companion to show her the way. Manchas has been going to the Saturday market in PV and has been doing amazing with meeting new people and other dogs that pass by, she’s very calm and curious. If you think you might be a good fit for this gorgeous girl, either as her happy ever after, or as a foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response in case it’s made its way there. Check out more here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRGm5yHEbfe/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
