Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: BROCK Brock is a sweet boy who found himself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. He was found as a stray in rural Georgia and then was brought in by animal control. He and his sister Loretta are both super sweet, smart, and loving dogs. You can tell they previously had a home, and someone taught them basic commands. Brock was previously found as a stray in Georgia and was taken to the local shelter. He just recently made the trip up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 1/10/25 and is living in a foster home in Green Bay. He is learning all about the house life and is working on all of the puppy stuff like potty training, crate training, walking on a leash, and commands. He is super friendly to everyone and gets along great with his foster dog siblings. He loves his humans and is very affectionate and lives for attention. He is a super sweet boy. —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is s summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: CAPTAIN CAPTAIN is a 5-month-old altered Male, 28 lbs. He is great with everybody and is a sweet and outgoing pup. Good with other dogs (adult and small puppies) and kids. He has not been cat tested yet, but would probably be fine. He is being fostered on a 100 acre farm with chickens and lots going on all the time and is doing amazing! Lots of desensitizing. He loves to run and is doing well off leash around the property. He hangs around whatever you are doing and wants to be by you. A good errand dog. He is medium energy and loves to play, but also is happy taking a nap on the couch. He is also a beautiful boy! For the shepherd lovers, he is gorgeous! ------------------------------- CAPTAIN was in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and caught a ride up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on 1/10/25 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Story
Meet Indy, the pup that could out-run the Indy 500!Indy is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix. This high-octane guy is here to steal your heart—and possibly your snack! He’s got enough energy to fuel a rocket, so if you’re looking for a fun loving pup who’ll keep you on your toes... Indy is the one for you! Indy is an absolutely wonderful dog. He is incredibly intelligent and food motivated, enjoys training and aims to please. If you have never owned a Shepherd or a Husky, or even a Shepherd/Husky mix, we recommend doing research on the breeds prior to applying for adoption. Indy is a high energy working dog that needs a job or an outlet for his energy and drive.Indy needs an ACTIVE home with no small animals, but may do well with other dogs as long as proper, slow introductions are performed. Indy would do best in a home with older kids (around 10 years and up).Think Indy could be the one for you? Fill out an adoption application on our website! For more information or any questions, please contact the shelter at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com or (920) 279-9795!

Story
Nebel is a pure bred German Shepherd puppy. Born on 10/2/24 - he is a stage 5 clinger and loves his humans and kiddos!  Nebel is getting a good understanding of basic obedience and vey eager to learn.  In true German Shepherd fashion - Nebel loves to talk and will serenade you with his excitment whimpers.  He loves to cuddle and wants to follow your every step.  Nebel is looking for a home with people who are there most of the day and who are patient and understand he will need slow and positive interactions and to just be allowed to observe the world around him as he takes it all in! We also strongly believe that large dogs should be altered when the timing is right for their growth - so we are allowing for that with these puppies; however, because they are purebred and we will NOT be adopting out for breeding purposes, part of the adoption fee is a refundable spay/neuter deposit. $425 adoption fee $500 alteration deposit. Once you prove that you have completed the alteration, we will reimburse the $500 deposit and issue a $100 operation refund as well.  ##2262429##
