Story
Timber and Mister were found running together in the country, and never reclaimed by their owner. Timber is approximately two years old and has looked to have had puppies in the past. She is a loving, sweet girl. Timber is very active, being a working-line German Shepherd. She will require a breed-knowledgeable owner. Timber does not seem to have been taught any basic manners, so she will need help with learning the ropes on how to become a great household member. ** BREED EXPERIENCE A MUST** “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle me into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).”

Story
Savoy is an 11-month-old German Shepherd Mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. This handsome boy has been in foster care since he was just 6 weeks old, patiently waiting for his forever family to find him. While all 7 of his siblings were quickly adopted, Savoy hasn’t had a single meet-and-greet yet – but we know his perfect match is out there! Savoy is a shining example of smarts and sweetness. He already knows how to "sit," is crate-trained, and adores snuggling up with his humans. This clever pup is eager to learn more and has all the potential to be the perfect addition to any family. Savoy has been exposed to cats, kids, and dogs of all shapes, ages, and sizes, so he’s well-prepared to adapt to any home. Whether you’re looking for a companion to go on adventures or a cuddle buddy for cozy nights in, Savoy is ready to bring joy and love into your life. Don’t let Savoy’s wait for a family go on any longer – schedule a meet-and-greet today and see just how special he is! Savoy is being fostered in Stevens Point, WI and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $350 plus a $100 refundable deposit after you submit proof of neuter. So, at time of adoption the total adoption fee is going to be $450. If you are interested in meeting Savoy and haven't done so already, please go and fill out an application at www.lastpawrescue.org (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog). 501(c) 3 approved WI Agriculture license number 285589-DS.

Story
Hi there! I just arrived here from Texas and I`m looking for my new family! I’m an adorable lady who would love to go home to a family who will provide lots of play time and walks. Sometimes new places or people can be intimidating, but if my family is there to help me build my confidence then it’ll be easy to work through my worries! I`m not sure how I feel about small kids yet, because all that energy and excitement can be overwhelming. I’ve also heard that positive reinforcement training classes can be pretty fun and would be an awesome way to bond and learn together!Medical History: I appear to be a healthy puppy, but it`s always a good idea to set up an appointment with my new vet soon, so that we can meet and make plans to keep me happy and healthy!Weight: ~75lbsAdoption Fee: $375If you`d like to meet me, click the `Learn About the Adoption Process` button below to plan a visit to the shelter!

Story
Lone Ranger came to us as an owner surrender due to his medical needs. We first believed he has swimmers syndrome, but are currently working through a myriad of potential contributing factors that might be affecting his mobility. At this time, Lone Ranger is available as a foster to adopt while we work through his medical issues. He is a typical happy, playful GSD puppy who would greatly benefit from a home where he can build his muscle tone and help learn how to navigate the world with his mobility constraints. Lone Ranger likes to play with other dogs, but can get frustrated at times so he would do best with a dog capable of healthy corrections or very patient with a big, goofy, awkward puppy. We would love nothing more than to get this sweet boy into a home where he can become a beloved family member. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at sftsrescue.org/available-dogs
