Story
My best friend Petra and I came to the shelter together because our human couldn't take care of us anymore. We are very close and want to do everything together which is why we MUST be adopted together, but that doesn't mean we don't have time for people...we love people and will do whatever we can to please them. I can be a bit of a barker when people don't pay attention to me, but as long as you're close by I'm a very good boy. I love toys and running around in the yard for exercise, I am quick to pickup on commands and requests from the humans I've met here at the shelter. I am 2 years old and 69 pounds, Petra is 3 years old and 61 pounds.   If you are interested in adopting this adorable pair of canines, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 815-858-2265 or email us atsafehaven1471@gmail.com. Story
Hi! My buddy, Randy and I come as a pair, we're bonded and will need to be adopted to the same home! Our previous owner had to give us up for health reasons, but the shelter is trying to keep us together. We really need each other and don't react well to being separated, but we're really sweet and love attention. Don't be intimidated by us, we are big but don't want to hurt anyone, just hang our with each other and as many people as we can. I like to chase Randy around outside and steal his toys, he know its because I love him and want to do everything he does. I enjoy being the boss with him, but am very good at learning new commands and will listen to and obey when people tell me to do things here at the shelter. Some info about the two of us: I am 61 pounds and 3 years old, while Randy is 69 pounds and 2 years old.   If you are interested in adopting this adorable pair of canines, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. I can be nervous meeting new people, but once I get to know you I'll be your best friend. I love playing outside and will run circles around you while playing fetch. I can be a picky eater, preferring to graze instead of eating all my food at once and keep a very neat kennel. I will tell you when I have to potty and know how to sit, shake hands, and lay down. I tolerate most of the dogs I've seen here at the shelter, I would probably do well with another dog in my new home. I also enjoy walks and car rides and am a people pleaser, if you think I sound like your kind of girl put in an application today.   If you are interested in adopting this adorable 2 year old canine weighing 58 pounds, please FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. Story
Ross! This handsome little fellow is just as sweet as he looks! He's only about 3 months old, and weighs just over 7 pounds or so; he's growing like a weed, but his lovely puppy personality is what gets us! Ross adores playing all sorts of games, from chasing stuffy toys, to as much tug as his baby teeth can dream of! But when it comes down to snuggles, Ross is ALSO right where it's at! He's as fluffy as can be, and just a darling. He adores taking over laps as often as he can, and of course, all the chin scratches you could ever dream of! We don't anticipate Ross will ever grow out of his big old floppy paws, or amazing disposition. Ross has already been hard at work on his crate-training, as well as socialization! We know he will thrive in most loving homes that are prepared for a puppy, and continuing all the fun that socializing is! He's just perfect!

Story
Phoebe is a doll, if you can't tell already! This darling girl has a zest for exploration, climbing on things, under things, and onto laps for all the love! At about 3 months old she weighs in around 8 pounds, and she's growing steady! We don't think she will ever grow out of her amazing personality; filled with all the curiosity, love, and SO many puppy kisses! She's a fluff ball packed with excitement for life, and quite honestly, a perfect little pup! Phoebe has already been hard at work on her crate-training, as well as socialization! We know she will thrive in most loving homes that are prepared for a puppy, and continuing all the fun that socializing is!
