Story
Niyla is about 1year maybe 1/2 my daughter brought her home from a homeless man. Niyla is very emotional and needs lots of hugs and kisses. Niyla is use to other dogs so that is not an issue for her, she is energetic and very alert also, she loves to play. She is a very intelligent dog so you may have to watch certain doors because she can open them herself. Also she loves outdoors and has issues with fireworks very terrified of them. If I could I would really love to keep her because she is an awesome dog for stress. She cares about how you feel when your down, so someone that has depression or anxiety it would be a plus for anyone looking to have a beautiful angel like her to come in their life and make you so happy.

Story
Klondike is a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and sweet eyes to match. She’s affectionate, smart, and has an old soul that’s easy to love. Currently in her Texas foster home, Klondike is thriving—she’s friendly with other dogs and has a mellow temperament that makes her great with kids. Klondike is ready for the next chapter in Wisconsin, where she hopes to find the perfect family to give her the love and care she deserves. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
Meet our sweet and laid-back girl, ❤️GEMMA❤️🐾! GEMMA is currently stuck in the kill shelter system in Arkansas, and is catching a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 15th (3/15/25). She was lucky enough to make it into a foster home while she waits for her ride up! Gemma is a super sweet, easygoing dog with a calm demeanor – she’s more “woah” than “go” and is on the lower end of the energy scale. She gets along with everyone she meets, making her an ideal companion for a family or someone who doesn’t want to deal with all the puppy chaos. She’s already house-trained, crate-trained, and fantastic on a leash. In fact, she’s even off-leash with her current foster! She gets along with other dogs great and is fine with cats. She is also kid friendly! Gemma is the perfect "already-made" dog, ready to jump right into a loving home without all the typical puppy behavior. She has a foster, but is still looking for an ADOPTER! Can you help this sweet girl get out of the shelter and into a loving family? Story
Meet Benjamin Barker – Your Loyal Companion Waiting for a New Beginning! Hi, I'm Benjamin Barker, but you can just call me Ben! I used to have a family, and life was pretty good. I had kids to play with, a home to call my own, and a routine that made me feel safe and loved. But one day, everything changed. My family moved out and left me behind. I didn’t understand why, but I patiently waited, hoping they'd come back. Then, a kind neighbor noticed I wasn’t out playing with the kids like usual and decided to check on me. They found the door unlocked, and there I was, all alone, just waiting for my people. But don’t worry – I’m not sad anymore! I’m in a loving foster home now, and I’m ready for a fresh start. I’m a sweet and loyal dog who loves snuggles, belly rubs, and playing outside when the weather’s nice. I get along with other dogs and would be great in a home where I can have a buddy to share my adventures with. I’m potty trained, crate trained, I know a few commands, and I’m always ready to learn more. I do have some puppy energy and would do best with a family who knows about german shepherds and is ready to do some training and provide me the stimulation that I need. I am working on walking on a leash nicely and I am super smart and trainable. I get along great with the 3 pittbulls that I am currently fostered with and love to play with them. I have not been around cats yet, so unsure how I would be with them. I do really great with kids. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to put the past behind him and start a new chapter with you, I might just be the perfect fit! Come meet me today – I’m sure we’ll be best friends in no time. 🐾❤️ Benjamin Barker – waiting for the family who will love him forever. __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.  __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.)
