Dexter is an 11-month-old German Shepherd/Collie Mix. He is the sweetest boy. Up for any adventure and always happy to snuggle or just hang out around the house. Dexter already knows a lot of manners (sit, stay, come, lay down, and does fairly well on a leash). He currently lives with 3 kids (6,9 and 11) and is fantastic with them. He has never been exposed to a cat, but we adopted him from a farm rescue where he lived with lots of other dogs, chickens, and horses. While Dexter is amazing with our family, he can be unsure of new visitors to the house. With both my husband and I working from home and friends of the kids coming over weekly, we've realized that our setup is quite stressful for him and not ideal for any of us. Dexter is also leash-reactive and will need someone who can continue working to socialize him. Off-leash, Dexter loves other dogs, is very playful, and loves being in the company of other dogs. This big, handsome boy came to RED from a high kill shelter at the request of shelter staff who loved this amazing boy. Snickers is believed to be a Dane x Shepherd mix with a DOB in 2020 or 2021. Snickers is a big boy standing at 26" tall at the shoulder. Despite his size, he is incredibly kind and wants to please. She has been patient and has been loving towards kids as young as 3 years old, She loves learning new things and going on adventures. She is crate trained for bedtime and mealtimes, and will stay patiently in a sit/stay until released with an "okay!" to eat. She lets you know if someone is at the door but has otherwise been quiet while inside. She has been fairly leash-polite, and is overall happiest when with her people. She can be assertive, and has shown to get along best with dogs that are laid back and non-reactive. Petey is a beautiful brown brindle male, 2.5 year 60 lb. Shepard mix. Petey is a one of kind boy with a heart of gold. He loves other dogs, children and listens well. He’s easy-going, calm and loves being with his people. He enjoys going on walks or hikes, but especially snuggling by your side. Petie walks well and leash and knows commands.
