Story
Dexter is an 11-month-old German Shepherd/Collie Mix. He is the sweetest boy. Up for any adventure and always happy to snuggle or just hang out around the house. Dexter already knows a lot of manners (sit, stay, come, lay down, and does fairly well on a leash). He currently lives with 3 kids (6,9 and 11) and is fantastic with them. He has never been exposed to a cat, but we adopted him from a farm rescue where he lived with lots of other dogs, chickens, and horses. While Dexter is amazing with our family, he can be unsure of new visitors to the house. With both my husband and I working from home and friends of the kids coming over weekly, we've realized that our setup is quite stressful for him and not ideal for any of us. Dexter is also leash-reactive and will need someone who can continue working to socialize him. Off-leash, Dexter loves other dogs, is very playful, and loves being in the company of other dogs. Dexter is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. This animal is being cross-posted for private rehoming by its owner. This playful pup loves to express himself in the most charming ways-think of him as a big ball of happiness that sometimes shows his "smile" through a playful growl. When he's not busy playing fetch or lounging in a sunny spot, you can find him trying to fit in your lap, convinced he's a tiny dog at heart! What Rex Loves:Attention and cuddles from his humansChasing balls and toys (he's a pro at bringing them back!)Spending time with kids-he's gentle and loving with his little friendsA Few Things to Know:Rex has a bit of separation anxiety and prefers not to be left alone for long stretches. He's good with children and has been great with our 8-year-old and 3-year-old.He gets along with our cat, but introductions to new feline friends might need some supervision.Rex would benefit from some training to learn house manners-he's been known to counter surf for tasty morsels!Rex is a wonderful dog who deserves a loving home that can help him thrive. Story
Georgie is a SWEET almost 1-yr old I rescued 7 months ago. Super smart (trainable) and playful, but mellow around the house. She is about 43 lbs total mutt mix (19 breeds) Not really growing much. She LOVES to play with other dogs at the dog park - but she plays rough. She's a good car traveler, likes hiking and going places with her person or hanging our at home. She is great with kids. She doesn't like being left alone more than 1-2 hrs - but would likely get used to longer as she gets older. She would love a home with a yard to play and run and with more than one person to give her attention and spend more time with her training and playing. She has a strong hunter instinct so goes after cats (and small dogs, chickens, bunnies squirrels etc). She is fine with SOME other dogs at home, but not others - she guards her food and is dominant and feisty with some. Ideally a family or couple with one around a lot of time, no other animals at home, and space to play.

Story
Winston turned 1 year old on Sept. 30th. He is a very good boy, but needs a home where someone has time to train him. He will bark at other dogs from afar, but always becomes quick friends. He's also never tried to harm my cat, the only issue has been that he wants to play and my 13 year old cat does not. He's been fine around children as well, although I will admit that he's so full of energy, he will knock small children over. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is not neutered because the vet recommended to wait until he is 2 years old due to hip dysplasia concerns in GSDs. He is microchipped and up to date on his shots. He is not registered, but we did have a DNA test done which showed he was pure-bred German Shepherd. He comes with multiple collars and leashes, a large kennel, dog food, and toys. We are asking $400 to make sure that he goes to a good home.
