Story
Bones is a 6 year old German Shepherd / Lab mix. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Bones is extremely sweet and affectionate. He is quite gentle with our kids and very loyal. He also is very excitable and seems to suffer from intense social anxiety. He is a great guard dog and will certainly alert you to anyone entering your property. Bones seems to suffer from some sort of allergy that the veterinarians have yet to nail down. We've tried a myriad of different home remedies and none seem to work. The only thing that seems to assist him are regular steroid shots that we haven't been able to afford. He is a great dog, very eager to please. We simply cannot afford to keep up with him as he deserves.

Story
This poor girl is Merida. We have taken her in for as long as we can but want to find her an amazing home. Merida’s owner dumped her in the middle of the woods. Merida spent over two weeks trying to find her way home. Merida found her way back home where they kicked her off the porch and he loaded her up again and went and dumped her. When the people found her they called us to come get her. This dog has been through hell and survived it. She just wants to be loved. She loves men!! We would like to find her a single man with no other dogs to bond with. She’s a lover, she needs someone to be as loyal to her as she is. Just be with her, she’s the smartest dog I’ve ever seen. If she was trained by a police officer or a military person she would guard like no other. She needs to be somewhere on property that she can run and chew on sticks. She is potty trained and does not chew at all. Merida gets along with male dogs but not with female dogs.

Story
Oakley is super smart & energetic. He's also only 1yr so still learning manners and can get mouthy/jumpy when excited/anxious. He does well in training, vets, & groomers. Loves fetch, dog park, squeaky toys, & car rides. Good walker & doesn't chase things. Only barks when there's a reason. Does well with other dogs; indirectly around chickens, horses, cats & did well. We got him from the shelter in late Oct & were told he was a stray. My 15 y/o son has ASD and had a meltdown which resulted in Oaks becoming overly protective of mom. He hasn't mean bit, but will bark, get between us, and become overly activated when we're both home. Its created an anxious environment for both of them that isn't fair to anyone. He needs an active family who is willing to continue training so he can reach his max potential. He needs a large yard to run free &/or exercised at least twice a day or he'll get bored. He's going to be an amazing dog with some patience and less anxiety.
