Story
Toby is a 5-6 year old, 90-100lb Shepherd mix who is looking for his perfect forever home. Toby was abused in his past and due to this will need a very specific family. He is very sweet and loyal with his people once he is bonded. Toby is looking for a home that has a fully fenced yard out of the city. Somewhere rural and quiet would be perfect for him! He prefers women to men and can take some time to trust men. His ideal home would be female only, but could do ok with a female/male couple if the man was patient and could build trust with him. Toby needs a home without kids and other animals. No other dogs or cats. Toby can walk fine on leash around other dogs but needs to be the only dog in the home. Toby loves to run and play and will love to spend time with his people in his backyard soaking up the sun and running around. Toby is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.

Story
Ghost is a strikingly handsome young boy with a strong personality and a heart full of love to share! This confident pup knows what he wants, and he’ll fit perfectly into a home that appreciates his independence and zest for life. Ghost loves being around people and kids, and his playful spirit shines when he’s out and about with his human friends. Ghost does best with female dog companions and would thrive in a home without cats. His ideal family is one that loves to stay active and can match his adventurous energy. If you’re the kind of family that enjoys hiking, jogging, or exploring the outdoors, Ghost will be your loyal sidekick every step of the way. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning, and he’d love a family dedicated to continuing his training and mental enrichment. If you're ready to welcome a bold, spirited pup into your life, Ghost is ready to be your loyal, lifelong friend! To add Ghost to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2218341##

Story
Animal Profile: Kimber is a beautiful 5-year-old, 54 lb female German Shepherd who was found wandering as a stray and taken to Everett Animal Shelter. When the shelter environment was too stressful for her, we gave her a "jail break" and she's now in our foster care. Kimber has been waiting for a forever home since November 2021. Please share and help her find her forever family! Foster Update: Kimber is affectionate and bonds quickly with her person. She is looking for an adopter who is experienced with high-energy dogs and is willing to continue working with her. She loves lounging in the house and looking out the windows. Her ideal home environment would be an adult-only household with working breed experience and a securely fenced yard. She has completed a 4-week board and train program with Lugaru K9 Training to address leash reactivity. Kimber can now walk nicely on leash and knows the following commands: sit, down, place, heel and leave it. She's not a candidate for dog parks as she easily gets over aroused and needs slow introductions to other dogs.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-applicationDecember 6, 2024, 11:33 am

Story
Animal Profile: Freya is an estimated 4-year-old, 60 lb female German Shepherd who has a lot of love to give. She is smart and loves to work for you. She will thrive with a strong leader --  otherwise she is prone to anxiety. She is house trained, crate trained, fully obedience trained and will do best with a Shepherd-savvy owner capable of providing her with guidance as well as physical and mental stimulation. Freya LOVES to fetch and BALL IS LIFE. She walks well on a leash with a training collar. This loyal and affectionate girl is slow to warm up to new people and will need an owner who is comfortable managing her safe introductions to strangers, but once you earn her trust, she's very eager to please. Freya has lived with other dogs and loves to play with them; she's good with dogs big and small, male and female. At this time we are prioritizing a home for Freya with a resident dog(s) as we think she would do best in a pack. She's also been tested with cats and exhibits no prey drive, and is amusingly scared of chickens. She is currently living in a home with small children and has done well with them, but we would prefer to place her in an adult-only home.  Adopter Profile:  Large dog experience required Shepherd experience preferred Single family residence required (no apartments) Secure fenced yard required Other balanced dog(s) preferred Cats OK No kids preferred Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400 which includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a federal 501c3 organization.  TAKE HOME TRAINING SESSION INCLUDED WITH ADOPTION Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Freya was found as a stray in Dec 2020 in Tacoma extremely underweight (40 lbs) and very scared. She was taken into Tacoma Humane Society and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle. She was fostered with DGS for several months while she learned basic manners and gained 15 lbs. She was adopted in March 2021 and lived with a caring family. Unfortunately they lived in a condo with no secure yard in a busy urban environment, which proved too challenging for Freya with those particular owners. She was returned to DGS in April 2022 and received a professional board and train with our training partner Seattle K9 Command. She is now being fostered in Bothell and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area.  November 16, 2024, 12:23 am

Story
Jazzy is a 2yr-old female German Shepherd  who -- along with her three siblings -- was abandoned in eastern WA and taken in by Quincy Animal Shelter. They were transferred and will be fostered in Seattle to learn crate and house training, basic obedience and social skills. We will share more as we get to know Jazzy in foster care.   Foster Update: Jazzy is a beautiful German Shepherd  with the personality to match! She is an active girl who would love to go on adventures with you. She loves people and always wants to be by your side. She especially likes to sleep cuddled up next to someone. Jazzy is dog friendly and likes to play outside with her foster dog brothers. If you're looking for an active pup who will want to be your best friend and adventure buddy, Jazzy's a wonderful girl! She will do best in a home with large-breed dog experience, a securely fenced yard, and another dog in the home. Jazzy is interested in cats, and wants to chase them so may be best if there are no cats in the home.  Adoption Info:  The adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: This animal was dumped at less than 4 months in Mattawa WA and taken into Quincy Animal Shelter; WSU was able to provide vetting and they arrived to Dog Gone Seattle Foster care on Thursday 3/9/23. S/he will be available for adoption to the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.   November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Leo fka Robb is an estimated 3-year-old male Shepherd mix who was adopted as a young puppy after we accepted him from California where he was found as a stray in a Chino dumping zone along with his sibling Sansa and mom Catelyn. He joined us in Seattle on 10/10, along with Sansa and Catelyn. Leo was returned to the rescue after a couple of years due to a divorce in the family, lacking socialization and training. He was fostered with a trainer for several weeks and is now thriving and ready for a loving forever home.  Seattle Foster Update: Leo has progressed well in his time with us as a foster. When Leo arrived to us from training he was moderately reactive, but quickly blossomed to a friendly, tail wagging, bouncy boy. Leo is in a word eccentric. He is a cuddle bug and a hermit and assumes the oddest positions imaginable to get close to his owners. He is crate trained perfectly and enjoys the safe environment the crate provides for him. If you’re unwilling to give Leo a crate then you’re not the right home for him. He needs his escape and downtime to be the best boy. Leo warms up slowly to new people and dogs, and his new owners should be selective in dog introductions as he will react if confronted and doesn’t like in your face dog encounters. He plays well with male Collie and male Malinois and he has a firm truce with our selective female Bulldog. He lives with our cats and is completely disinterested in them. So, cat friendly. Leo will never be a dog park dog. So no dog parks. We don’t have kids in the household so don’t have awareness there. He has no food aggression but he's still working on taking treats gently. Leo will be a great hiking buddy and walks beautifully on leash. He doesn’t have marked stranger danger but again the policy will likely be "please don’t pet my dog without proper introductions." Adopter Profile: Dog experience required Fenced yard required Other dog/dogs in the home a plus Cats okay Older kids okay Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org  November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Watermelon is an estimated 1-year-old 70 lb neutered male German Shepherd who was taken into the high-kill Downey Animal Shelter in Los Angeles as a stray, and never claimed. The shelter assessed him to be friendly with people and other dogs, and comfortable with handling with no medical or behavior flags, however he was euth listed for space after a long stay over one month in the shelter. This resilient boy got a one-way ticket to Seattle with a foster offer and will be joining Dog Gone Seattle on July 28. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: 'Mel' needs a dog savvy/experienced adopter that has a genuine interest in getting to know him and his quirks.  Mel would do best with someone that is ready to put some work into him.  Mel has developed some behaviors through all the processing of different humans and handlers that occurs during shelter and rescue life.  As a result, he has become a bit reactive towards newcomers. Once bonded to you, he is very loyal and trainable but will not be an easy first dog owner dog.  He would do best with a single person until the person has learned to manage him, otherwise, in his intense bond he tends to get possessvie over his space and the space around 'his human' despite the level of leadership being provided.  Mel is eager to find someone help him see the value in humans, that they don't all leave, or come into his space to take him away or disrupt from what he has finally settled in to (again).  He needs a human to show him that connectivity and reliability is possible because at this point he has come to the conclusion that humans are not trustworthy nor reliable.   Mel is a young, super fun and brilliant dog but with that comes a high level of responsibility. Are you up for that? Mel comes with free training support.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, heartworm test if 6 months or older, microchip with lifetime registration, and health certificate. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application< Animal History: Watermelon was picked up as a stray in southern California and taken to the high-kill Downey animal shelter where he was placed on the euthanasia list for space. With foster commitment he was tagged and will be transported to Seattle arriving 7/28/24. He will be available for adoption to the greater Seattle area after evaluated in foster care.November 30, 2024, 5:44 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Adoptable Junnie! Junnie is a 3 1/2-year-old, Malinois mix who is looking for his forever home! He has been waiting for a foster or forever home with is almost 3 years 😔 and would love his happy ending to come soon! Junnie is a happy and sweet boy and loves to play and be active! He will require a very active family that has experience with working breeds. He would make a great running/ hiking partner and LOVES to play fetch. He needs to be mentally and physically stimulated so he would also do great with agility, games and nose work. Junnie is still learning how to socialize with other dogs and can be reactive and mouthy, as Malinois are, with other dogs. He needs to be the only dog in the home but with training and support could be fine around other dogs out and about. He will require a home with a fenced yard, no apartments. Junnie is not tested with kids but since he still needs to catch up on training and can be jumpy, he would be best in a home with older kids or adults. No cats. Junnie is on the wait list to be neutered and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED This beautiful brindle boy hasn’t found his forever home yet! Juno is a 3.5-year-old, 60lb Shepherd mix found as a stray in CA. Although his appearance is a mix of stunning with a hint of intimidating, Juno is a very sweet and loving boy! He loves to be out exploring with his person and would make an amazing adventure companion, especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors! He is very sweet with his handler and will sometimes jump up to give a hug out of excitement of just being with his person. He will be a very loyal dog to whoever adopts him, and is looking for a person to call his own! Juno will need an active family with a standalone home that has a yard for him to run and explore. He is incredibly smart and will thrive with adopters who will continue his training and provide him the physical and mental stimulation he requires. He is very smart however, and learns quickly! He already knows sit, down, and “happy spin” when being fed. Juno can be somewhat selective about other dogs and wouldn’t mind being the only dog. However, he could do well as an additional dog to a home with a proper introduction and proper boundaries set in the home. He walks incredibly well on leash, and would love to find his forever home soon that can appreciate how amazing he is! Juno is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and not tested with cats. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to this gorgeous boy, Falcon! He is a ~2 year old, 75-80lb Dutch Shepherd mix who came to us after possibly being dumped with a group of dogs in CA. He is hoping to have a better shot at his perfect family in WA! Falcon is a sweet boy and enjoys adventuring with his people. He walks well on leash and would thrive in a home that continued basic obedience and enjoyed being active with him. He is affectionate and loves spending time with people. He has been okay with other dogs in our care but we are still getting to know him since he is new to us. If you are interested in this sweet boy and have a dog in the home, we will schedule a meet to ensure the pups get along great prior to adoption.
