Canelo is new to PAWS and we are still getting to know this fluff ball of a dude. Here is what we know so far: He likes humans but he will bark at new faces sometimes. It's not aggressive, just alerting. He shows very friendly body language around other dogs and will get the play jumps and zoomies through the fence in our play yards (no play sessions yet).No cats! He will chase.Knows how to sit when cued, as well as when he sees a meal coming his way.Basic training has begun here at PAWS but further training once in a home will be a must for his success.He loves to hang outside in our dog play yard. Sometimes he's just relaxing and other times he's tossing toys and zooming around. He has energy to burn so an active home would suit him best.He is a big boy and his manners are not the best yet. He jumps up on people so younger kids might not be ideal as he may knock them over or accidentally hurt them while playing.Overall he seems like a very happy young pup just looking for some guidance and a loving home!Please apply to adopt at: http://www.pawsgh.org

MEET KATIE & GRACE, two beautiful, sweet & loving black German Shepherds! Both of these lovely girls with stunning black coats were rescued from a crowded California shelter, and they are very bonded. Grace & Katie are good with other dogs and lovely with people. Grace, the mama dog, is about 5-6 years old, and Katie is a 2-year-old girl now and growing up! Both girls have also done fairly well around cats but would need to be monitored. Katie weighs about 60-65 lbs, and Grace weighs about 71-75 lbs. They've waited a long time for a home because we are trying to place them together, so if you can open your home to two dogs, please email for an application. They also need a foster! MEET NICO! This stunning dog is a purebred, 8-year-old German Shepherd, recently saved from a crowded California shelter, after being picked up as a stray. Nobody claimed him, and he was rescued in the nick of time. Nico seems to like some dogs and not others, though the jury is still out on that as we continue to get to know him. Looking for a "pocket"-sized shepherd? Charley is a perfect size of 44 lbs and while she looks like a shepherd, she is very chill and calm, acting more like her lab counterpart! Charley loves to run and fetch so would ideally be very happy with a backyard and daily walks. She's very quiet indoors but will bark when someone approaches the door. She loves everyone and just wants to be a lapdog all day. While she does love her exercise, she is also very content to lay around all day and snuggle. She's good with cats but can be a little picky with other female dogs; if they're good at boundaries and are calm, she is usually fine with them. She does great with puppies and male dogs. Unsure about kids since she's never been around them.

Mac is a great dog who loves attention and playing ball! He knows basic commands but needs further training. Fully fenced yard is required as when he gets out, he runs and goes on an adventure. He thinks it's a game to follow him and he keeps going. He just wants to play with other dogs. Having a brother or sister would be ideal for him. He likes to play and tackle! He has never bitten anyone. We are rehoming him due to my son's medical condition. We got him this dog as an emotional support dog that we wanted to have trained as a service dog. We rescued him from the Shelter and have had him for 11 months. He will be 2 on November 3rd.. He's been too much for my son to handle and he isn't able to spend the time with Mac that he needs and deserves. We want him to go to a home that can spend time with him and help him continue to grow and learn. He loves squeaky toys and is a goofball when playing! This is a very difficult decision for us as we are huge animal lovers.
