Mimosa is a 6 year old, 78 lb, German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, Pit Bull, Chow Chow, and Husky mix. She is potty trained, leash trained, and knows how to be a polite walking buddy. She’s also great in the car, makes bath time easy, and doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed. She’s crate trained, though she doesn’t need one, and she gets along well with cats and kittens. She does well with other small dogs. When it comes to people, Mimosa can be cautious at first. She tends to keep her distance or bark when meeting someone new, but once she learns she can trust you, her true personality shines. Beneath that initial shyness is a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly sweet girl who just wants to love and be loved. It’s hard to believe that with all these amazing qualities, she’s still waiting for her forever home. Mimosa just needs someone patient and kind, someone willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new environment. Sunshine continues to gain confidence in her foster home and has even started playing with her canine foster siblings. She feels most secure around other dogs, but it’s clear she wants to trust people, she just needs time and patience. Sunshine will do best in a home with another dog who enjoys some playtime but is also content just hanging out. We know finding the right home for her may take time, she won’t fall in love overnight, won’t immediately give kisses, and may retreat to a quiet corner at first. But she just needs one person willing to believe in her and give her the space to feel safe and build trust. Sunshine is non destructive and does not require a kennel. Lex recently moved to a new foster home and is settling in beautifully! Here’s what his foster mom has to say about him: “Lex is an incredibly sweet boy. He’s very submissive with both the big and small dogs in the home, and as he’s grown more comfortable, he’s even started playing with the larger dogs. He did wonderfully during his bath, blowout, and nail trim, and he doesn’t mind being brushed daily. He recently visited the dog park and did fantastic, happily greeting every person and dog he met. He also loves going on walks and listens very well. Lex is potty trained and will kennel on command. His Husky side shows up with some whining and howling when he first kennels, but it’s brief. He sleeps through the night in his kennel with minimal fuss and overall he has been an easy houseguest! Lex is a 1 1/2 year old, 58 lb German Shepherd/Husky/Bull Terrier mix. He would do best in a home with another medium or large dog and with someone who works from home or is home most of the time. No cats or apartments, please.
