Story
Sweet, Gentle Shepherd Mix Looking for a Calm, Loving Home. Pretty Boy is a sweet, gentle German Shepherd mix who’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion. At 81 lbs, he’s neutered, fully vetted, and incredibly smart — already knows basic commands and eager to learn more. As we work with PB, he is showing signs that he is close to being potty trained. PB is a true lovebug who thrives on attention, enjoys walks, and happily snuggles on the couch or at your feet. He’s been great with kids and other dogs and walks politely on leash. Pretty Boy has a manageable eye condition (Pannus) treated with daily drops and isn’t painful. He’ll come with supplies and lots of love — all he’s missing is his forever person. Pretty Boy is my parent's dog. My dad passed away in September and my mom has dementia and that is why we are having to rehome PB. There's no way we would let go of this precious dog otherwise.

Story
Meet Mia a 4-year-old, 70-80 lb fully vaccinated and spayed beauty who thrives in a structured environment and has consistently proven herself easy to work with, responsive, and eager to please. Mia is looking for a calm, confident adopter who can offer her the routine and structure, which is where she thrives! She&#39ll do well in a dog-savvy home and gets along with other dogs when management is clear and calm. We recommend a home without young children; teens may be fine with guidance. Over the years, she&#39s completed several training programs--passing each with flying colors! . To support her in her next chapter, Happy Gentle Dogs will provide a complimentary Board & Train before adoption, along with a smooth, hands-on transfer and follow-up support to set everyone up for success. Mia has a solid foundation and a big heart. If you&#39re ready to meet her with patience and purpose, we&#39d love to hear from you. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Mia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.December 17, 2025, 12:17 am

Hustle is a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, weighing about 40 pounds. He may be small for his breed, but he&#39s bursting with energy and thrives on movement--whether it&#39s running, hiking, or playing with other dogs. Left behind in boarding by his previous owner, Hustle is still learning to trust. He can be shy at first, but with patience and love, his loyal nature shines through. He is fully vaccinated and looking for a dedicated person who can offer the time, training, and care he needs to feel safe and confident. If you&#39re ready to earn the trust of a truly devoted companion, Hustle is waiting to meet you. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). Story
Franke is a handsome young shepherd mix, weighing about 65 lbs, with a love for squeaky toys and chasing balls. Found scared and alone in a park, he&#39s since been neutered, vaccinated, and is blossoming into a confident, joyful pup. Franke is full of puppy energy and charm. He&#39s housebroken, crate-trained, and knows commands like &#34sit,&#34 &#34down,&#34 &#34off,&#34 and &#34outside.&#34 He&#39s working on leash manners and will do best with someone who can offer firm, patient guidance. Franke thrives with structure--he needs regular crate naps to recharge and a yard to run and play.
