MawMaw came to us from a horrific hoarding situation. She had lived on a chain her entire life, with little room to move around. She had many litters of puppies. Mawmaw is a sweet girl who loves people, but she is very dog aggressive. She is still quite active for a senior of 10 yrs. MawMaw isn't a large shepherd, weighing in at 56 lbs. We would love to find MawMaw that perfect retirement home, where she can go outside and run about ( will require a securely fenced yard), lay on a cushy bed, catch a few movies on the tv and get her belly rubbed. Since she is dog aggressive, she will have to be an only dog. She has been spayed, is UTD on vaccines, Microchipped, the only negative here is she is HW Positive. She has been started on Pro Heart shots to help get rid of the heartworms, she is not symptomatic. After spending over 2 years in boarding, Willow is finally thriving in a foster home — and she’s showing us just how wonderful she really is! Her foster says Willow is a total velcro dog who loves to be near her people. She’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s part of the action. Willow is also smart and eager to please — she’s quickly picking up on basic commands (with a little treat motivation!) and has already mastered kennel training, sleeping through the night with no accidents. Indoors, Willow enjoys exploring every corner of the house and asking politely to go outside when she needs to. Outdoors, she loves her yard time and soaking up new sights and smells.
