Story
Roman is available for adoption. He’s a 401b mixed breed. He’s had a dna test done which showed he was surprisingly, mainly German shepherd. He is a sweet, high energy boy who was adopted previously but he just did not thrive on a farm. He’s not good with chickens and can be a little to interested in small animals. because of this we are lookibg for a home without cats or small dogs. Wed love for him to have a home with an active family. Hes very well trained and knows a lot of basic commands. He is also house and crate trained. He loves being with his people and he has the sweetest eyes. hes fully vetted, heartworm negative, microchipped and up to date on preventatives. His adoption fee is $150. to schedule a meet and greet please fill out the application below and email us at info@countyroadsrescuetx.org

Story
Stout is a goofy boy that's had trouble finding his spot in the pecking order. After several months with an experienced foster/trainer, he's done so much better! Will need reinforcement and an alpha (human) owner. He's great with people/kids, good with female dogs and males that don't push for dominance. He doesn't bother cats. He's a great dog, very well mannered, rides in cars well, loves to go, crate and house trained. Foster to adopt can be a great scenario to get to know Stout and see if he's the perfect fit.

Story
Makaria is a timid, but sweet, silly girl that has either experienced some trauma, or just wasn't socialized at an early age. She has come out of her shell quite a bit, but will need a patient adopter to continue to give her time to gain her trust. She loves other dogs and children, and needs a friend to play with. We estimate her dob is 6/1/23. She appears to be a German Shepherd mix, on the small side, and is fully vetted and current on appropriate preventatives. She likes the comfort of her kennel/crate/doghouse.

Story
Pupae is a beautiful, very smart and gentle Shepard mix female, the calmest of her litter. Her eyes are so clear and expressive. She will look directly into yours and melt your heart. She and three sisters (Starr, Sky and Gabby) were found at 8 weeks old on a one lane county road in all the April rain storms, no momma with them. They have grown up together in a loving foster home and are leash/crate/house trained and know basic skills/manners. Pupae does very well. She used to spend most of the day outside, playing, but as she has grown and matured she is trusted inside where she can spend some mush needed alone time from the rambunctious crew, and be near the humans. She's great with people, other dogs and cats. Foster to adopt is a great way to see if Pupae is a good fit for your family.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 6/19/18, and the pictures were taken on 4/9/18 - Louise came from the Smith County, TX Shelter on 4/9/18. I had a few adoptions at that time, so I had space to tag some dogs from the shelter. I asked who had been there the longest, and needed out. Immediately I was told Louise and Sarge. Louise has joined what I call my yard dogs that get to run the fenced in area of our property instead of going in a large dog pen, and goes in a crate at night. She barked a lot at first and doesn't always like to go in the crate, but is doing much better now. She still gets anxious to get out in the morning. She is good on a leash, good around adults and children, rides well in a vehicle, LOVES to be pet while licking my arm, and LOVES getting in our water tubs.  She does not climb fencing or dig under fencing. Louise was picked up on FM 2767 and Greenwood on 3/7/18 weighing 73 pounds, heartworm positive, but as of 5/28/22 she is heartworm negative using Ivermectin for slow kill, estimated to be 6 years old in 2018, and was not doing well being in the kennels. I had her spayed on 4/14/18. Louise's adoption fee is $25, since a donation was made for her care. October 20, 2024, 10:53 pm
