Story
I was adopted at the age of 2 from an animal shelter. I was minding my own business living my best life until a new little human came around... and that's when things began to change. They say he has severe allergies, and I am causing issues impacting his health. I don't want him to suffer because of me, so I had my people reach out to the kind folks at LHS to assist in finding me a home to live out my glory years. I am housebroken and can be trusted to have free roam of the house. I can be a little bossy with other dogs so I would do best in a home as your only furry companion. I do great with people though, even little ones. They say I am very sweet and lovable - I have to say that I agree! I have been spayed and I will be brought current on vaccination and heartworm test on Monday. If you are interested in more information about me or would like to set up a time/date to meet up, all you need to do is complete an online application and my people will get with your people and work out the details. https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ DOB: 4/01/2014 Weight: 65lbsWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
I found Lenna (which means lion-hearted in German) through a Facebook post. She was on a ranch along with 10 other similar dogs. She was 8 weeks old when I got her. She'll be 2 by February. Great companion, and a great character. Very intelligent and super receptive. Highly trainable. She is not crate-trained and she has no behavior issues. She is very much bonded with me. She plays with our Shih-Tzu. She is good with kids preferably older kids. My son is 10 and she is very good with him. She is very active so I prefer someone who knows the breed. Someone who works from home is single and can spend enough time with Lenna. I am giving her away because I have heavy business travels, sometimes overseas for a month and we'll move to out of state soon.

Story
Meet Eve - The Gentle Giant! Eve is a stunning 81-pound Shepherd (maybe with a touch of Rottweiler), and she's approaching her 3rd birthday! Don't let her size fool you-she's a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Eve was adopted as a puppy but was returned a few months ago because her family no longer had time for her after the kids went off to college. She's been patiently waiting in boarding, but she's been keeping busy as a star student in our Super Dog Program! Eve has been working on her Canine Good Citizen skills and impressing everyone along the way. This amazing girl LOVES her outings with her superhuman. Whether it's car rides or adventures around town, she's always ready to explore! Eve is great with other dogs and is a dream on a leash. Her behavior around cats is unknown, but she's an all-around awesome pup just waiting for her forever home. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Eve is your girl! Adopt this superstar today and give her the home she deserves. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Eleanor is dog friendly and also really loves my cat. She is playful with the cat but respects his boundaries. She's about 9 months old and is a big goofy pup around 65 pounds (German Shepherd / Great Pyr mix). She has very soft fur, a black snout, and uses her paws like a BLC, but her head is shaped like a shepherd's. After a few days of settling in with me she was crate trained, and she sleeps in the kennel and also is there while I'm at work. She's a pretty normal puppy doing awesome with potty training and knows outside is where she's supposed to go. She doesn't quite know her size yet and thinks she's just great as a fluffy lap dog. Her kennel is simply her safe place she prefers to have to herself. She walks fine on a leash and has been friendly with any and all new human strangers she has met coming into the home. Loves toys of all kinds and really enjoys her Kong. Great around other dogs, cats and livestock. Two precious pups living in the shelter, reached the 6-month mark with no interest thus they were on the EU list. A good Samaritan looked after them and brought them out to see what it was like in a home. She could not keep them but wanted to help promote them and help them live the life they deserve. Still little interest. Both are sweet, loving and ready to please we couldn't watch this happen. With a temp foster in tow, we took them in hopes of finding a permanent foster to help them thrive and work with them until the perfect family comes along. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Story
Sunshine is a gentle and loving eight-year-old German Shepherd who was rescued from the streets in January. Despite her past hardships, her spirit remains unbroken, and her heart is full of love. Having successfully completed her heartworm treatment, Sunshine is now ready to find her forever home where she can enjoy her golden years. Though she may be shy at first, Sunshine just needs a little time to adjust to her surroundings. She can be sensitive to noise when she’s outside, but once she feels safe, her sweet and loyal nature shines through. She gets along well with other dogs and adores people once she gets to know them. Sunshine is also crate trained, potty trained, and an all-around good girl. Sunshine deserves a family that will cherish her, providing the warmth and security she’s been longing for. If you’re looking for a faithful companion, Sunshine could be the perfect addition to your home! Story
This gorgeous 4 1/2 year old, 70-pound girl is a mix of German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, American Pit Bull Terrier, Chow Chow, Siberian Husky, and 11 other breeds. Mimosa is a well-rounded girl—she loves cats and does well with dogs after a proper introduction. She’s also house trained, kennel trained (although she is trusted to stay in the home without being kenneled), and loves her daily walks. Mimosa is nervous in new situations, and may bark at first when faced with something unfamiliar. But with time, patience, and reassurance, she settles in and becomes a huge snuggle bug. She’s most at ease in a quieter setting so a home without kids or teens would be best. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend and walking buddy, Mimosa might just be the one for you! Due to her mix of breeds, she’ll need a home with a yard—no apartments, please. Think Mimosa could be your perfect match?
