Story
Meet Hope – A True Survivor with a Heart of Gold Hope’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her spirit shines brighter than ever! Hit by a car and left for dead, this sweet girl’s story could’ve ended there, but with a little luck and a lot of love, she’s transformed into an incredible puppy full of life and joy. To make her even more special, Hope underwent surgery to fix her hip with an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy). This hasn’t slowed her down one bit—she runs, jumps, and chases bunnies with all the enthusiasm in the world! To keep her strong and healthy, she will need to take glucosamine with chondroitin, a simple addition to her routine. Hope is incredibly smart—she knows her name and even answers to her nickname, Lil’ Girl. She’s well-behaved, and if she gets into mischief, a gentle “No ma’am” is all it takes for her to stop what she’s doing. She also has the cutest breakfast and dinner routine! Hope absolutely loves her Puppy Pro Plan meals, especially when they’re topped with two baby carrots—her favorite crunchy treat. She will give you that look if they are not in the bowl, Now, Hope loves snuggling up with her favorite humans and is fully potty trained, uses a doggie door, loads into her crate like a pro, walks wonderfully on a leash, and even enjoys learning new tricks with clicker training! Hope plays well with other dogs once she feels comfortable and may hide behind your legs if something scares her—but it’s just her way of seeking safety in her trusted person. At bedtime, she’s happy on her own bed but wouldn’t say no to a cozy night snuggled next to you. (She’s still figuring out how to jump off the bed, though!) Her favorite things? A stuffed squirrel, elk antlers, racket balls, and YOU. Hope’s playful and loving nature will make her the perfect companion for someone who can give her the safety and affection she craves. She tilts her head when you talk to her like she understands you, and she also speaks to you like you understand her. Hope is ready for her forever home—a place where she’ll be cherished for the amazing pup she’s become. Could that be with you? Apply today to meet Hope and give this survivor her happily ever after! Story
Hi, I'm Millie! I'm a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog with a lot of energy and spunk. Not to brag, but I've broken the world record of best snuggler around town; I will lay by your side for as long as you like! Some of my favorite things are walks (I walk excellent on a leash), treat-o's, and meeting new human friends. I am very particular about who my dog friends are, so I will need to be the only pup in the household. I can be a bit reactive towards other animals; however, I am willing to train and work on my bedside manners. I know my basic commands and I am potty trained. I will just lay about the house until you get home, waiting to greet you with a ton of kisses! I am the perfect girl for anyone who wants a companion to spend the lazy and rainy days with, or wake up and go on a new adventure! I'm currently looking for a long term foster while my owner recovers from a major surgery. However, this may change into me being up for adoption.

Story
Ally is a one year old, 65 lb German Shepherd mix. She loves to play with dog toys and run in the backyard. She also enjoys a good long morning and/or evening walk, and her leash manners are improving with each walk. Ally is very smart and learns quickly, especially when rewarded with a little treat. Toy puzzles and searching for her food is a great way to help keep her mind busy during the day! She does well in a crate when she needs some downtime, and she sleeps through the night in her crate. Ally would prefer to sleep on a cushy dog bed next to her people, once she settles in at her new home. The most important thing to Ally is getting to spend time with her people. She gets attached very quickly. Ally gets along fine with the other dog in her foster family's home and would do okay with one other dog as long as the other dog is playful. She is working on not being possessive of her toys with the other dog in her foster family. (She is also very happy to be the only dog as well.) She also gets along well with her elementary aged human foster brother. Ally spends the weekdays with her foster mom at work (in an office setting) and is a very good girl. She does not bark at the door and gets along with everyone who comes to the office. Ally would do best in a home with Kids over 7 years old, No cats, and No more than one other dog. The first step to meeting beautiful Ally is to submit your application at www.humanetomorrow.org, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Scout is a protective, loyal partner. He loves to run and is high energy. He would do great in a household that is active and will take him on walks, runs and hikes. Scout loves the water and jumps headfirst in our kiddie pools at the rescue. He is a very affectionate dog and loves to snuggle in bed under the covers. He clings to his owner with a bit of separation anxiety when owner is not around. In a home with little exercise, he can become bored and destructive. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. Since he has gotten older his energy is less, but he will still love walks and hike and then a nice soft place to nap. He was born in 2015 and is located at the Rescue. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Story
Gracie is a 7-year-old grey/white shepherd seeking a home with an experienced and patient person. She takes a while to warm up to you but once she does, she is so sweet! She will take multiple visits before reaching a comfortable level to interact. She was roaming the streets on her own for over 3 years. During this time, she had many litters. She was eventually trapped in May 2020 and has been improving everyday behaviorally. Her progress has been the most incredible thing! Her journey makes her no less deserving of a home, and we know once she makes it to one, with the right human by her side, she will progress so much more. These cases truly are the most rewarding, the bond you create is unlike any other. She was born approx. June 2015 and is 90 lbs. She is located at the Apollo Rescue Center.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Meet Maple!Maple is a fun-loving, smart, and energetic girl who is sure to brighten up your life! She’s always on the go, playing with her furry friends for hours, and when she’s finally ready to wind down, she loves curling up close to her people or finding a quiet spot under the bed to rest. While she has tons of energy, Maple is still learning some important doggy manners. She can be a little too excited with humans at times and needs some guidance to learn how to play gently and respectfully. Her ideal family will be patient, consistent, and ready to help her grow into the well-mannered pup she’s meant to be.Maple is still a little unsure about the leash and car rides, but with time and positive reinforcement, we’re confident she’ll become more comfortable with both. She’s also eager to please when it comes to treats, taking them gently like a true lady. When it’s time to go outside, Maple is great about letting you know by going to the door for potty breaks.Maple has no issues with resource guarding and happily shares her toys with other pups. She loves meeting new people and is always excited to have company over, although she doesn’t yet understand the concept of “stranger danger.” She would benefit from more socialization to help her feel more confident around different noises and environments. If you’re an active family with a big heart and the time to provide Maple with the training she needs, she could be the perfect fit for you.
