Story
Lobita is a sweet, friendly, calm, resilient dog who was found a stray in Houston behind a house in a mechanic's workshop, missing her back right leg below the knee. We don't know what she's been through or how she lost her leg, but she is safe now and decompressing with her foster. She appears to be a small German Shepherd mix and is approximately 30 lbs. Lobita will soon be looking for her forever home, once she is spayed and has her leg examined, updated on shots, prevention and microchipped.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at https://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html. NOTE: $100.00 of Tripp's adoption fee has been sponsored; his adoption fee is now $150.00. Meet Tripp (short for Tripod), a three-legged German Shepherd mix, about 5 years old and 55lbs. Tripp was hit by a car and his best outcome was to have his left front leg amputated. Tripp is leash-, potty- and crate-trained. He is a very good boy looking for a home to be so spoiled in.  But don’t let his disability fool you, Tripp is a puppy at heart! He is silly and playful and runs around the backyard with his foster sister, LuvBug. When he's not playing, you will find Tripp snoozing on the couch. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. He has the cutest squeal when he's excited to see you! Tripp is good with small humans and other dogs. He should be watched around small animals; he has shown some prey drive with my chickens, although he will listen when I tell him no.  ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals. November 5, 2024, 5:30 pm

JD is such a goofy guy. He enjoys squeaky toys and likes to mimic the sound it makes by whimpering at the same time. JD loves to run outside and throw himself on the ground and roll a couple times before stretching out in the grass to bask in the sun. He is great with other dogs but prefers them to be playful. JD enjoys belly rubs and lots of attention but isn't so demanding that he can't also enjoy playing alone in his kennel. JD is a great family dog. November 5, 2024, 5:30 pm

Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142
