Story
Lobita is a sweet, friendly, calm, resilient dog who was found a stray in Houston behind a house in a mechanic's workshop, missing her back right leg below the knee. We don't know what she's been through or how she lost her leg, but she is safe now and decompressing with her foster. She appears to be a small German Shepherd mix and is approximately 30 lbs. Lobita is looking for her forever home now that she is spayed and has her leg examined, updated on shots, prevention and microchipped. She is good with dogs, cats and kids, is great on leash and in the car, is great in her crate and quickly mastering house training.

Story
Holly and Jolly were pulled from BARC as Millie and Molly when they were on the Euth list for having ringworm. They were brought to BARC after being found abandoned in a large gravel lot. They came into the Rescue just a few days before Christmas and are now being treated for their ringworm infections and intestinal parasites. Once these sweet little pups are healthy again we will get them up to date on shots, prevention, and have them spayed and microchipped. We believe they are German Shepherd Dog mixes and were about 7 weeks old at intake. Both pups are black and tan but Holly is the smaller of the two with less tan and two brown eyes. Jolly is the larger pup with one brown and one blue eye and has a bit more tan. Please help us find these pups their forever home by applying on our website! Dotsfriends.org

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at https://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html. NOTE: $100.00 of Tripp's adoption fee has been sponsored; his adoption fee is now $150.00. Meet Tripp (short for Tripod), a three-legged German Shepherd mix, about 5 years old and 55lbs. Tripp was hit by a car and his best outcome was to have his left front leg amputated. Tripp is leash-, potty- and crate-trained. He is a very good boy looking for a home to be so spoiled in.  But don’t let his disability fool you, Tripp is a puppy at heart! He is silly and playful and runs around the backyard with his foster sister, LuvBug. When he's not playing, you will find Tripp snoozing on the couch. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. He has the cutest squeal when he's excited to see you! Tripp is good with small humans and other dogs. He should be watched around small animals; he has shown some prey drive with my chickens, although he will listen when I tell him no.  ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals. December 22, 2024, 5:10 pm

"Personality Plus!" - That's me! I'm the first of my siblings to get in on the petting, belly rubs, treats, spoon feeding...you name it. I love attention! If I had a middle name, my foster Mom says it would be "Adorable"! I also comfort my siblings when they are scared, so my foster dad calls me his "Service Dog". I'm the first of my siblings to want attention too!       My pointed ears might show that I have a little shepherd in me,  but because I'm smaller, I'll love to snuggle nicely on your lap!" A lap for a nap sounds good to me!ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. Don't you love my turquoise collar and how it looks so stylish with my creamy white fur? Help me to be the center of attention! I'm still a bit shy though, so be patient with me to come when you call.  My foster family is still getting me used to the human touch.           I love treats and you can spoon feed me a bit of soft food too. My manners are nice, so I take both food and treats gently. My pointed ears might show that I have some Shepherd in me, so never fear, I'll protect you and your family because I can hear wonderfully!ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. See my short tail? Either I was born that way, or had a bad time at the hands of the person who dumped my sisters and me on a country road. But never mind that -- I'm loving life now!! It gave me my sassy name "Bobbi"! My pointed ears might show that I have a bit of shepherd in me, but perhaps you can help me find out!     I'm still a little shy, but will warm up to you quickly with love and treats, and I really love spoon feeding too! As with all puppies left on their own, be patient with me and I'll return that effort with so much love for you!ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. For more information on Mocha, please contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com, or to apply for adoption please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/41173109602142
