Story
Journey was found at 8 weeks old under a car. It is believed that she was there for at least three days before discovered. She was immediately taken to a vet. She was treated for worms and given first round of shots. She completed all rounds and was given her rabies shot and at 6 months was spayed and micro chipped. She ate 3 times a day until 5 months then twice a day. She started out on the farmers dog and at 5 months switched over to Orijen large puppy food. She loves playing with doggie toys, treats and playing outside. Journey will come, sit, lay down, and roll over. Currently learning to walk on leashe and stay. House trained and starts to wind down around 8pm and up at 6:30am. I think Journey will do well as a companion and guard dog. A teenager and or young active parents.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Not appropriate for apartment or mobil homeMs Katie is ready for her forever home.  Loyal, loving and obedient.   She knows place, sit, let's go, and here.   She is crate trained and leash trained as well.   Katie has fabulous recall and will return immediately.  Katie is the smartest working girl ever.  Katie runs with the pack (or more accurately, runs the pack) she is definitely an alpha personality.  She is German Shepherd and Cattle Dog.  Two working breeds that need a job and a lot of stimulus.   She goes non stop and keeps everyone on their toes.  She will be a great running companion.   She is a talker and has a lot to say. Smart!   She figured out the doggie door weeks before I would have approved, but there is no stopping her when she sets her mind to learning something. She sits for treats. Not because she was trained to, but because she watched the pack and learned. She is an exceptional dog. She requires an active home.  Because of her intelligence, she will become bored and then destructive which will not make anyone happy.  Katie is a pleaser and learns very quickly. Her perfect home will be older children, an active family and definitely a yard. Katie will do best with a companion dog in the family.  She is not an apartment  or mobil home appropriate.     If you  can provide Katie with the stimulous and love that she will require, she will be an awesome dog.   aarfhouston.org/forms ========================================================= Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Layla, just like the song. I’m beautiful, intelligent, athletic, and energetic. Don’t let my size food you, I’m very sweet. I can also be very protective of my humans. I know basic commands, and I’m eager to please. I have boundless energy, and I need LOTS of exercise. I’m no couch potato. I love running, playing with my foster sister, and playing fetch. My most favorite activity is fetch. I can hard and move fast, so no small kids. I would be a great running buddy, agility champ, or therapy dog. I love attention, and don’t like to be alone for very long. I have lots of love to give, and I’m looking for my perfect forever home.  Check out my photos.  Maybe you’re the human for me.  ==================================================== Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. Story
Sailor Moon ("Sailor") is the absolute sweetest girl! Sailor came to Paw Pact Rescue as one puppy of a litter of 9 when she was six weeks old. Her mom is a German Shepherd, but we don't know about dad. At 6 months old, she is 39lbs and full of goofy personality! Sailor does well with other dogs, cats, and children, and is mostly housetrained. Sailor is great on a leash and kennels like a dream!  Sailor had a freak accident and fractured her leg at about four-months-old but after a very successful surgical repair she has received a full release from her surgeon and is back to romping and playing like a normal puppy just waiting for her forever home!  If you are interested in an extremely loyal girl that loves nothing more than to cuddle with you, Sailor is your girl! She is young but she has been in loving foster homes so she knows basic commands and manners. Please reach out if you think Sailor may be the perfect addition to your family - she would love to meet you! October 28, 2024, 12:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bucky!  NEED IMMEDIATE ADOPTION OR FOSTER HOME FOR BUCKY!   Shortly we will no longer be able to foster this wonderful dog.   Please, your help is needed.   Bucky will be an absolutely great member of your family!    Bucky Here!  Darn I am cute!   If I am not adopted soon, I will end up wearing some funky things.   STOP!   I do have my dignity!   ADOPT ME!!!!    Bucky - here again!   I have had a great week with my foster family.   I got to stay outside because of the cooler weather and play ball more!   I also got to snooze on my foster mom's knee while she was working.   I am patiently waiting for my forever home!   Come and get me!   Hello! I am Bucky. I am so happy I am with my loving fosters. I would like to meet my forever family!  I might sound and look scary, but all I want is love and to play ball. I want to tell you about me. I did have a car accident, that has not stopped me. I have had basic training, so i am a better boy! I am healthy and want to run and chase the big birds from flying over my yard. My foster family tells me I am so goofy.   Yeah, I look scary and I do bark letting everyone know I am here. When you come in my home with my family, I want to smell you then want you to pet me. My foster family does have some repair men come in the home. They leave my best friends. I would like to meet the lawn guy, however the big machine he rids on is scary. It reminds my of my arch nemesis the vacuum cleaner.   When I was rescued, I found out what hit me was a car. That was bad. After having doctors fix me up I have not looked back. I run, run, and run some more. I love to play ball in the back yard. I did have problems around cars. My loving fosters showed me it was no problem. They gave me bacon going into the car. I love bacon. Now I am excited to get in the car for a ride, especially for a pup cup. I love taking walks, I would prefer runs. My foster family does not run, I understand.  Oh I love my trainers, they were so good to me! When I was found, I did not know what to do when my fosters were talking to me. After two weeks away from my foster family I now understand. I can sit, go to place, lets go, and down like the best of them. I have a good life with my fosters and AARF. I am ready for my forever family. Will that be with you? ========================================================= Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog.
