Story
Maya was pulled from the Ft. Worth Animal Shelter hours before she was set to be euthanized. She has adjusted well to living in a home environment. So far she has been tested with young children, cats, and dogs and has done great. We have no doubt she will strive once she’s adopted. She loves giving kisses as well.    Her adoption fee is $200 and covers all of her vaccines, her spay, and will come with a new bed.November 6, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Coquetta is a very happy pure soul. No matter how bad of a day you had she will be happy. She's very playful and likes to play with other dogs. At first she's barks at them but after getting to know them she loves them. Coquetta loves to run in open spaces and eat chicken. She's 8 months old, I had her since she was 2 months and grew to love her more everyday but due to a lot of family issues that have been going on I can't keep having her. I want to find someone who is willing to take care of her needs and love her as much as I do. Someone who will love her even if she makes a mess. Coquetta is my heart a my strength so I due hope to find someone who will lover like I do.

Story
Faith was born Sept 9, 2023. She was brought into our home from the breeder Nov. 8 2023. She is our very first dog. She is so sweet and is in need of more love and attention than what myself and my two little ones can give. She sits in a crate about 8 hours a day m-f and it’s not fair to her. I would really like to see her flourish in a new home with someone or family that has the time for her. She has such a funny personality and has definitely given us some good laughs this past year. Praying for someone to adopt her that wouldn’t mind us checking in on her from time to time. She will come with her crate and everything else that we have gotten for her over the year. Fun fact… she is good with car rides. The longest she has traveled is about 12 hours to Florida. She did so well with about 2 3 stops in between. If you need Faith in your life, she is ready for you!

Story
Found this sweet German Shepherd female puppy four weeks ago wandering my neighborhood. She is friendly and has a happy personality. Rescue scanned her but no microchip. Tried to find her owners with phone calls, Facebook posts, Nextdoor posts, and flyers at grocery store and pet store. She is an active puppy, so walk her three times a day, about three to four miles. She knows some basic commands. She will stay and sit next to me while another dog walks by, but she will bark. She does not bark at children or adults with no animals. She will only go #1 and #2 on grass and not cement. Taken her to the vet for physical exam, rabies shot, vaccines and boosters, and flea and tick treatment. She is in good health and vet estimates she is about 1.5 years old. Vet thinks she may have recently had a liter. She is 64 pounds and about 24 inches at the shoulders. I plan to schedule her for spaying in November.

Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Described as loving and obedient, Scooter responds to commands from formal training and waits at the door for permission to go out. Not uncommon to the breed, she cannot be in a home with cats, but she adores children and has lived in a home with a 2-year old who Scooter's very gentle with. Scooter walks great on a leash but will pull if she sees a squirrel. She does well with other dogs but will command all the toys as squeaky toys are her very favorite pastime.Scooter's family has had two untimely deaths and are no longer a ble to care for her, so they asked us to help find her a new home. they say she's an excellent watch dog, loves to give kisses and affection, is house broken and knows how to use a doggie door. She'll do great in an active family with a nice backyard and the time she needs to adjust to this change.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
A very happy boy who loves playing with his foster siblings, Shadow is crate trained and housebroken and knows how to use the doggie door! A quick learner, he also knows Sit, Down and Kennel means bedtime. He'll do best with an active family or with an active family with another dog who matches his energy level. Typical of this breed mix, as both are working dogs. Shadow loves playing outside, but prefers to be where his people are. Shadow will need a nice size back yard to play in.
