ADOPTION FEE WAIVED with APPROVED APPLICATION. www.safehaventn.com Chester is a striking GSD mix, about 3 years old and 60 lbs. Chester is extremely smart and high energy. We are looking for a home for him who has experience with the breed, and know they need both physical and mental stimulation to help balance out their energy. You must have at least a 6’ high physically fenced yard. No kids under 12 due to his energy level is preferred. He is currently in an indoor / outdoor run. He is current on vaccines, preventions and has been neutered and hw negative. He is a sweet dog who needs some training and guidance. It is clear that no one spent much time with him when he was a pup, but he is a great dog and deserves a chance to be the best pup he can be !! Looking for that special family that sees his potential and is willing to put in the work to help him be the amazing dog he is. If you think you can be that family for Chester, please fill out our adoption application on our website at www.safehaventn.com . We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application. His adoption fee is waived and he is being fostered in Cookeville, TN.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Batman, the playful and happy 18-month-old mixed breed pup. We think he might be part Cattle Dog, German Shepherd, and Husky. Weighing in at 35 pounds, Batman is a bundle of energy who loves to entertain himself in the yard, play tug with other dogs or people, and explore his toy box several times a day. He often picks out toy to take to his dog bed or takes it out to the deck to relax. Batman has many endearing habits. He enjoys laying beside his humans in the evening, making sure his head touches their leg. He sometimes licks their hand when being petted and has been known to stand beside guests, licking their cheek before settling down. His timid but affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion. Batman knows several commands, including "Come," "No," "Sit," and "Wait at the door." He is housetrained and quickly learned to use the dog door. He sleeps in an open crate and has been well-behaved when crated with a chew toy. Batman enjoys sharing toys with other dogs, taking trail walks, chasing balls (and usually bringing them back), and being petted. He smiles a lot, showcasing his joyful spirit. Even though he was very scared when he was first rescued, Batman has matured and become a happy and friendly dog. Batman has never shown aggression and gets along well with other dogs and children. He has been wonderful with foster puppies and enjoys spending time with a 13-year-old boy who visits. He walks well on a leash, is quiet in the car, and loves walking on trails. Batman would thrive in a calm home with another playful dog, a securely fenced yard, and a dog-savvy family willing to be patient as he adjusts to his new environment. He enjoys affection, often entertains himself with toys, and is very appreciative of regular meals and a stable routine. Batman is ready to bring joy and love to a new family who can offer him the same in return.  Interested in adopting? COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for SAMMY. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Looking for a big, lovable goofball to fill your home with joy and energy? Meet Sammy! This happy-go-lucky pup is a German Shepherd/Great Dane mix who adores playtime and is ready to bring endless fun to his forever family. Just one year old and weighing 55 pounds, Sammy is full of energy, curiosity, and sweetness. Sammy is happiest when he's chasing toys or playing fetch. He loves running around, and once he’s warmed up to you, he’ll stick by your side like your shadow. His favorite thing? Head scratches and all the love you can give! While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for his friendly personality to shine through. This big boy is still learning his manners—he’s working on basic commands like "sit" and "down," and he’s a bit of a playful jumper (but only because he’s so excited to be your friend!). Despite his size, Sammy is gentle and has shown no signs of aggression. He’s great with older kids, curious but respectful of cats (when he sees them through a door), and loves other dogs. He’ll bark to let you know someone’s arriving but is all wags and smiles once they’re introduced. While Sammy is not yet housetrained—he was previously an outdoor dog—he’s already crate-trained and has a great start on becoming the best indoor companion with a little patience and love. He’s a star car passenger and would make a fantastic travel buddy for adventures. Sammy’s ideal home would have a large, fenced yard where he can run and play, along with a family who’s ready to invest time in training and bonding with him. His mix of playfulness and affection makes him an excellent match for an active family that can keep up with his energy and offer him plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a playful, loyal companion with a heart as big as his paws, Sammy is ready to meet you! Come spend some time with this gentle giant, and you’ll quickly fall for his goofy, loving nature.   Interested in adopting? Story
Rocky is a one-year-old bundle of energy with a mischievous streak. This playful pup is great with kids and other dogs, but let`s just say, he`s not a fan of poultry. (He`s got a bit of a chicken problem, if you will.)Despite his past as a failed farmhand, Rocky is eager to learn and grow. He loves going on walks, chasing balls (but not necessarily bringing them back...also sheep), and giving lots of sloppy kisses. However, he`s also a bit of a Houdini, so a secure fence is a must.If you`re looking for a furry friend who`s full of personality and loves to have fun, Rocky might be the perfect match. Just be sure to keep him away from the chicken coop! Thanks to a generous donor, my adoption fee has been reduced to $120
