Hi! My name is Cadence. I am a 4-year-old German/Anatolian Shepherd mix with big brown eyes and a heart of gold.I’m house and crate trained. I know sit and shake. I adapt to just about any environment with a little bit of time. Loud noises do not bother me.I love car rides and get so excited when we get to where we’re going, I try to climb into the front seat. I love tennis balls, squeakers, tug ropes, really any toy if you will play with me. I love to be brushed. I love my chin and chest scratched. I love treats. I love praise. You’ve probably figured out by now that I’m a lovebug. My foster mom says I pick things up really fast, but I don’t always mind my manners. I really enjoy walks but haven’t figured out why I need to be tethered to a human. I pull in every direction at first because there’s so much to see and smell, and by the way, I am strong. The foster humans are being patient and working with me but it’s going to take time to break my old habits.There’s a 5’ fence at my foster home and that keeps me safe, but I might be able to jump a shorter fence. Baby gates in the house are no match for me. I’m right at home in a dog park. My previous human couldn’t provide the care I needed so my ears got infected and are a little sensitive and scarred. The veterinarian said we’ll have to keep a close watch for infections forever. I’m close to 70 pounds. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations. I get along with everyone I meet, but I was a little bossy with my foster sister when we first met. I barely notice the cat. I like to rough house when playing and sometimes forget that I’m a little clumsy and bigger than everyone else. I’m working on the basics of leash training and not jumping up when I’m excited with my foster family and am showing progress but still need some work. My breed is known to be independent, intelligent, loving and loyal and I am all of that.Apply online or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approved 4 yr old spayed German shepherd. 62#, adopted from animal control, vet told owner that she needed to treat her ears, owner said she would have to come back on payday… never saw her again. Cadence was later taken back to AC for euthanasia. Tech at AC couldn’t do it because cadence is so sweet… so they sent her to our clinic and dr evaluated her ears. She has suffered chronic untreated ear infections for who knows how long.. ear canals are cauliflowers and cadence will have to have ear exams abt every 6-8 weeks. We packed them w a two week treatment last week. Her ears are very sensitive, and she had to be sedated to treat them. Maverick is an amazing and loving purebred German shepherd from Texas. He is 5 years old and is always in a great mood. He is so much fun to play with and always full of energy! He still thinks he’s a lap dog, and when he gets know you will love you with all of his heart. He is fully house trained, leash trained (still pulls a little bit), and e-collar trained (not shock collar). He has been around other dogs all of his life and children the last 3 years. My sweet Tusla would not be needing to be rehomed if it were it not for life circumstances beyond my means. She is amazingly sweet, intelligent, and food driven. She knows so many tricks I taught her from sit, lay down, spin, reverse the other way, paw, give the other paw, sit pretty, speak, whisper. She will get into food if it is accessible and she is left alone. She will get crafty and try to reach it. Best pay to prevent this is regular walks and mental stimulation when out like a freezer treat toy or lick pad. She is great on or off leash. She has great recall. Cannot be left outside without leash as she can wonder if there is no fence. She will chase and bark at other dogs but should not be homed with a dog that does not respect boundaries. She is living with 2 German shepherds now that struggle to respect her space. (not my dogs) She also has a fat tumor, no vet has expressed concerns for or asked to biopsy. I wanted to ask a precaution due to her older age, however I cannot.

Kane is a handsome boy that just grabs your heart the minute you look into his sweet and shy face. Born to a mom who is a pure German Shepherd and a dad who is a pure Great Pyrenees, this litter arrived on 2nd of November 2024 and for the first 2 months their mom was their anchor for love. This is why Kane is a shy boy, but is learning fast that people are loving and kind and honestly FUN! He and a sister are being fostered by a loving couple who know puppies and how to make them confident and learn about getting their emotional footing in life. At 12 weeks this boy is already almost 30 pounds and promising to grow into a truly magnificent large boy who will grow to be in the 75-90 pound range. He is going to possess some of the most wonderful qualities of both intelligence and easy going personality that will come from both parents. He is an observer already and of course a “thinker”. He will observe what is happening and then make a decision on what to do. Curious? Yes he most certainly is but no quick decision making is done at this young stage of his life. He loves to be loved and he will thrive even more with a good adult dog mentor in his life is possible. We would a dog savvy person with either Shepherd or Great Pyr exposure and knowledge and for sure he will need a fenced yard that is a good size and not a small patio enclosure from a condo or apartment. He needs a house and some space to stretch his large and long legs in the future as he grows into a handsome and strong dog.
