Hi! My name is Cadence. I am a 4-year-old German/Anatolian Shepherd mix with big brown eyes and a heart of gold.I’m house and crate trained. I know sit and shake. I adapt to just about any environment with a little bit of time. Loud noises do not bother me.I love car rides and get so excited when we get to where we’re going, I try to climb into the front seat. I love tennis balls, squeakers, tug ropes, really any toy if you will play with me. I love to be brushed. I love my chin and chest scratched. I love treats. I love praise. You’ve probably figured out by now that I’m a lovebug. My foster mom says I pick things up really fast, but I don’t always mind my manners. I really enjoy walks but haven’t figured out why I need to be tethered to a human. I pull in every direction at first because there’s so much to see and smell, and by the way, I am strong. The foster humans are being patient and working with me but it’s going to take time to break my old habits.There’s a 5’ fence at my foster home and that keeps me safe, but I might be able to jump a shorter fence. Baby gates in the house are no match for me. I’m right at home in a dog park. My previous human couldn’t provide the care I needed so my ears got infected and are a little sensitive and scarred. The veterinarian said we’ll have to keep a close watch for infections forever. I’m close to 70 pounds. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations. I get along with everyone I meet, but I was a little bossy with my foster sister when we first met. I barely notice the cat. I like to rough house when playing and sometimes forget that I’m a little clumsy and bigger than everyone else. I’m working on the basics of leash training and not jumping up when I’m excited with my foster family and am showing progress but still need some work. My breed is known to be independent, intelligent, loving and loyal and I am all of that.Apply online or email russellrescuetn@gmail.com if already approved 4 yr old spayed German shepherd. 62#, adopted from animal control, vet told owner that she needed to treat her ears, owner said she would have to come back on payday… never saw her again. Cadence was later taken back to AC for euthanasia. Tech at AC couldn’t do it because cadence is so sweet… so they sent her to our clinic and dr evaluated her ears. She has suffered chronic untreated ear infections for who knows how long.. ear canals are cauliflowers and cadence will have to have ear exams abt every 6-8 weeks. We packed them w a two week treatment last week. Her ears are very sensitive, and she had to be sedated to treat them. Maverick is an amazing and loving purebred German shepherd from Texas. He is 5 years old and is always in a great mood. He is so much fun to play with and always full of energy! He still thinks he’s a lap dog, and when he gets know you will love you with all of his heart. He is fully house trained, leash trained (still pulls a little bit), and e-collar trained (not shock collar). He has been around other dogs all of his life and children the last 3 years. Meet Dylan. Dylan was found as a stray and he was an absolute mess, heart worm positive, Mange and 20+ pounds under weight. Just an absolute mess but boy did he have spirit! After months of medicated baths, heart worm treatments and lots of love, he is just magnificent! He still has a heart murmur from his bout with heart worm disease but he is overall in great health. Dylan is great with other dogs, and as you can see by the video, is fine with cats also. He is very gentle around young children but full of himself with all the staff here. He is fully vaccinated, neutered microchipped and ready for immediate adoption. ADOPTION FEE $400

Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans. This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall. We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them. He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company. He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time. This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner. Our beautiful girl is called Queen Phaedra and she is a 9 year old, 85 pound, pure German Shepherd that is tragically losing her home due to the sudden passing of her dad. This has left her mom in a sad situation where she cannot possibly maintain the home and land and household bills. There are 3 purebred GSD girls altogether and Phaedra is the leader of the pack in age and personality. She loves to play ball and runs in her fenced yard for hours just enjoying the great outdoors. Phaedra is a beautiful girl inside and out and she listens well and knows so many manners and commands. She is housebroken and good in the house when her mom is gone. She is the perfect senior girl with lots of time left in her life to bring so much to a family or person. We want this girl to be taken care of in her golden years. This boy is called Kowboy Kirby and he is a one-year-old 65 lb black and tan German Shepherd who doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body about anything or anyone. He is clueless as to why he should be, so he isn't. Kowboy Kirby is just kind of a goofball that is intelligent and needs to continue to have someone surround him with good guidance and boundaries and the ability to polish him into a fabulous dog. Training is necessary for any German Shepherd and especially for this young boy who hasn't been trained starting early in puppyhood. Only in the past 2 months has he had guidance and a schedule with consistency. He used to not tolerate a wire crate but now he's fine in a plastic crate and he tolerates that. It will be necessary for him not to be left loose in the house when people are gone. He'll get into too much mischief as most dogs will do. Kirby is really a special boy to be as nice and sweet as he is considering the fact that he was found in the middle of a highway during a rainstorm back in July. It was determined that he actually had been given away by someone at a Walmart. These animals should never be handed around like this, but it seems like it's happening more and more. Kirby is housebroken and he walks really nicely on a leash if you're consistent doing it everyday. This is a diamond in the rough kind of guy and we are hoping that you will see the diamond and take him home.
