Story
Buck is estimated between 3 and 4, definitely still a young buck, if you will! Buck is unfortunately returning to us from his adopter due to some herding behaviors! Because of these behaviors (nipping legs/grabbing the leash), Buck is ONLY available to a breed experienced home. He was very loved, and bonds strongly (as all GSDs do!) Buck needs a fair, educated, and confident handler to continue his OB. When initially tested, his ball and toy drive was minimal, but the tides have turned and he'll play ball all day! Buck is not suitable for a home with prey animals or children. He is dog neutral/ok with proper intros to non dominant dogs.

Story
Demi and her sisters Lillian and Jordan were saved from euthanasia at 3 days old, along with their feral mama. You'd never know it though, with how brave and resilient she and her siblings are! Strong, confident, and talkative, these girls have been out on car rides, public outings (in a safe location/cart/off the ground), and in households full of other dogs and cats. What she lacks in size she makes up for in voice! Dem is the most talkative of the bunch, and loves to bark while she plays. She lacks no environmental confidence, and is quick to explore anything new: sounds, sights, textures. She has taken store trips, car rides, and investigated bushes without a second thought. She's easy to handle physically and enjoys human contact. While she hasn't been in a household with children, she has been friendly to all new humans shes met. With her solid environmentals and biddability, I can see her growing into a dog with service potential at best, and a super solid active pet at the very least. Fostered in Simpsonville SC, available for out of state adoption.

Strong, confident, and talkative, these girls have been out on car rides, public outings (in a safe location/cart/off the ground), and in households full of other dogs and cats. Demi is the largest of her litter, and is the only one with her golden brown coloring. Like her sisters, she is always down to explore and check out new surroundings. While not fully potty trained, she's got potty pads down pat for only being 10/11 weeks old. She has not been around children, but has been social with all new people she's met. With her solid environmentals and biddability, I can see her growing into a dog with service potential at best, and a super solid active pet at the very least. Strong, confident, and talkative, these girls have been out on car rides, public outings (in a safe location/cart/off the ground), and in households full of other dogs and cats. Lillian is the leader of the trio, and first to branch out in solo foster away from her sisters! She is doing amazing with all other dogs she meets, walking on leash, and is respectful of the crate. She rode well in the car and is a big ole bundle of beautiful silver joy! She's the largest of her siblings, but surprisingly not the fluffiest! Like her sisters, she has a neutral and confident personality, and adjusts to new scenarios quickly.

Story
Halsey is an absolutely STUNNING sable male. Currently intact, he's undergoing slow treatment for HW. Hals has high ball drive and a desire to chase/tug. He's not a good fit for households that have small prey animals or dominant dogs. He walks well on leash, and overall was a joy to meet and play with! He's a jolly dog with lots of love to give! Mature kid safe, and would love a family to give him all the snuggles. I think Halsey would be perfect for a junior or beginner handler who wants a weekend sport dog with some go, that's not going to take you for a ride. Speaking of rides- big guy loves to load up in the car and go! Fostered in Landrum SC. Adoptions considered out of state

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   NOT IN VPDate into Rescue: 3/4/2024 Reason for being in rescue: breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Jackie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Jackie is not hypoallergenic and does shed.  Weight: 53 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Jackie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Living life aa a Poodle German Shepherd has made things fun for Jackie. Striving to fit into any situation Jackie finds it easy to mold into whatever human or dog needs from her. Jackie loves attention from anyone or anything she can get it from - human or four legged! Jackie wants to simply experience life and however that looks for you sounds great top her. Jackie loves her poodle and non-poodle furry friends (all sizes and cats too!); therefore, we know Jackie would absolutely love a home where she can have a pawed companion! Though we do not think it is necessarily required Jackie would NEED playdates and perhaps doggy daycare if she does not have a friend at home with her! She always has faired better with her friends than by herself and she loves to follow their determined lead into new situations! She has never lived without her he siblings and besides who doesn't love having someone to talk too on those boring days where you can't annoy mom and dad! We haven't seen Jackie interact with children, but our expectation is that she will love kids, she has a sweet and loving personality that seems just right for children. After she has had time to settle in and adjust to her new home, we expect she'll enjoy playtime with them. From running in the back yard to hikes in the mountains or simply lounging on the beach!  Jackie does shed and will need to be in a home where shedding does not cause allergy reactivity!  What is my personality like? Jackie has a sweet and caring personality that makes it hard not to love her! She will happily greet you ever chance she gets and on the days where you've been gone too long, she will jump up to hug you. We are working getting her to show her love and excitement differently! Jackie is just kind, and there is no other way to put it! She loves love, and she loves life and that is all she wants in return!  How do I act when I first meet new people? Jackie can be a little nervous upon first meeting people, but she warms up quickly. Very quickly. She does well with both men and women, and we expect her to be fine with kids. Just give Jackie some time to adjust and learn and you'll soon be rewarded with a new BFF. Other tips and tidbits: Jackie was born on 6/29/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. November 5, 2024, 5:31 pm

Story
Adeline was feral when she came to us, and is a totally different dog now! Shes learned to like her crate, car rides, and meeting new people. She will only be considered to a home with other dogs- they're her absolute favorite! Addy is the definition of a 'dog's dog.' She has had a litter of her own, and was the best mom! She's excellent with puppies, and very social and submissive/appeasing with adults. Adeline's ideal home would be one that actively fosters or puppy raises. Adeline IS a flight risk; she is extremely athletic and can clear a 6' fence. She won't go far or stay gone for long, but she will test her enclosure, so she needs a secure yard and attentive parents. She is such a sweet and sensitive dog; she will thrive in a household that trains R+/low pressure. Adeline has met kids young kids, but is worried by their erratic movements and noises. She has never offered adverse behavior, but for her own comfort is only offered to homes with mature kids 7+. Fostered in Simpsonvile SC, she is available for out of state adoption.

Story
Super easy dog! She has very low energy and low drive and thrives on routine. She LOVES to go on a walk and is wore OUT after and needs to rest her front left leg (she is a gunshot victim and has residual pellets in her leg/shoulder). She's great with ALL dogs- the more the merrier- she will lay in the floor and play with little dogs. Ignores cats. She's crate and potty trained but doesn't bother anything in the house- you never know she's there until she has to potty. Very quiet. Loves to lay in the sunshine every morning for about 20-30 mins then comes in to get on her bed until her evening walks. DD is the epitome of a go with the flow dog, and wants a relaxing home to settle into and spend the rest of her days. She's not a super social dog with strangers, and isn't a good candidate for someone who wants to bring their dog out to concerts, coffee shops, downtown, etc. She loves the farm life, but would also thrive in an apartment or house with an owner who was dedicated to getting her some outdoor time with doggy friends. She's currently in a foster with mature dog savvy (and gentle) kids, and does so well!

Story
Bane is a young MalX pulled from a shelter in NC. He's a spirited and energetic guy who needs an active family. He's got a high ball drive, but doesn't prefer to work for food. Dog friendly and takes appropriate corrections. In a foster with cats and does okay with dog savvy felines and supervision! This young dude needs a family of his own to bond grow, and be goofy with! He likes the water, and loves to be outside. If you're looking for your next adventure buddy, Bane's your boy! Due to his ball drive and lack of current 'out' command, Bane is not a candidate for a household with young or small children. He has tons of energy to burn, and will make someone a really cool sport prospect for rally, barn hunt, fastCAT, or even dock diving. Pretty solid and confident environmentally. Bane does not enjoy the kennel life, and will only be considered to homes where he will live inside (he is crate trained and safe in crates). Fostered in Greenville SC area, available for out of state adoption
