Story
Hemi was acquired in Louisiana and is currently 3 years old. While he has been living with two other German Shepherds, he may be better suited for a home without other dogs, as his compatibility with them is uncertain. Hemi is sensitive to loud noises, particularly fireworks, and tends to seek shelter during thunderstorms. He does not enjoy getting wet. However, he is very affectionate and interacts wonderfully with children.

Story
Hi, my name is Blackie! My sibling Brownie and I are beautiful German Shepherds. We are naturally smart-we know a few commands already but would need an experienced dog owner to work with us to continue our learning! Please have the time and desire to keep us from getting bored and we will make you proud! We are still working on potty and crate training-we just need some patience and consistency please. We love people and older children-zoomies, roaming, and running is so fun! We really can jump, so please have a nice high fence so we can't get out~We love dogs, but only large ones like us, please! Small dogs and cats are definitely not a good idea please! We are learning to really like car rides, and of course, treats are the BEST!Blackie is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. Please fill out an adoption application at https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adoptionapplication/ or contact adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet this animal.

Story
Hi, my name is Charlie!I am a year old as of April 24th!I am a sweet and loving dog, and am very cuddly. Dad says I am a VERY strong dog and jump on people too much. I will need someone with training to help me to learn to not jump and not be too rough on things. I definitely need good, strong toys to play with!I work great with other dogs that have the same bright energy and spirit as me, but cats and I don't get along. Because I am strong, I probably shouldn't be around children under 10 since sometimes I am not aware of how big I am!I can be hyperactive but I am a very lovable dog! Though I do have some quirks like mouthing and jumping that needs some work, I am loyal through and through! I hope I can have a great big back yard and a great family to play with! From Charlie's foster family:He has had all his vaccinations and us crate trained and inside house trained. He is also trained on an outside lead. Last but not least, Charlie is a truly wonderful dog. Charlie is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. Story
Hi everyone, my name is Ava and I am looking for a good forever home. My life has been a difficult start, I have had sweet foster families who love me but never a home to call my own forever.I love all people including children, and I love playing.I have had bad experiences with other dogs in my past and they make me really nervous. I would do best as an only dog. I have not been around cats. just want lots of land to run around and play on, to sunbathe and fetch a tennis ball. I want all the belly rubs and be warned, I will give you a million kisses. I am so excited for wherever my next home is, I just know it will be wonderful. From Ava's foster mom: She loves to be near you and play with you. A wonderful companion. She is smart and has already learned stay, sit, fetch, and heel (we say "walk"). Easy to walk on a leash and loves physical affection from people.Sweet Lady Ava is part of our Home-to-Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the $50 adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. If an animal is abandoned or needs to be re-homed, we can assist people by providing medical care, marketing and training if the individual fosters the animal. Please contact us at adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet a Home-to-Home animal.
