Story
I want Reecie to go to a loving home with people who are going to take great care of her. She really needs someone to stay with her most of the time due to her separation anxiety. I am a busy full-time college student and I also work full time so I want her to go somewhere where she won’t be kenneled up all the time. Reecie is 7 months old and I got her from a family friend who was giving the litter away. She is a Dwarf German Shepard and Black Lab mix so she has a lot of energy. I want her to go to someone or to a family who can genuinely take really good care of her and she can live her best life.

Story
Sadie girl is a sweet loving purebred german shepherd. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves being outside as well. She is VERY hyper and gets very excited for love and attention. She loves snuggles but it takes a minute for her silly self to calm down. She loves baths and bone treats. She will play with tennis balls and play fetch but is unsure about any other toys. She likes to jump a lot but that’s bc she gets very excited. She’s been around cats but doesn’t harm them in anyway she just likes to chase them and smell. Overall she’s a great dog, unfortunately we just don’t have the time on our hands and with having a 2 year old it can be hard. I definitely want our sadie to go to a good, loving, and safe home.

Story
Atlas is a pure bred GSD. He was born Feb 19 2021 and we have had him since April of 2021. He is a big high energy lovable goof ball. However, he had a bad experience at a dog park one day and was attacked by another dog and has had reactivity issues since. We’re looking for an experienced adopter for Atlas who is willing to spend the time and effort into training him more and is able to provide an environment for him to thrive in. Atlas knows basic obedience commands but has trouble focusing when there’s a lot going on. He is not destructive and is crate and potty trained. He can be very skittish and needs slow introduction to new people so he doesn’t get overwhelmed and become defensive. He is very vocal and will tell you when he does not like something or wants your attention.

Story
Gus is a sweet boy looking for a home to call his own. He is friendly and gets along with other dogs. He can be real shy at first and may act skittish, but he has so much love to give. He walks good on a leash and is house broken. He has been vaccinated and been neutered. Gus is heartworm positive. He would be good for a family with patience and love. Would you like to meet Gus?

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: West Columbia, SC Name: Ginger Age: 5 or 6 years Breed: Coonhound, German Shepherd, Akita Mix - 68 lbs with long legs M/F: F Spayed/Neutered/Shots: Spayed; UTD on rabies & distemper Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with everyone she has met so far; haven’t exposed her to cats but doubt it would be an issue Aggression or medical issues?: No aggression; heartworm positive upon arrival and has been through fast-kill. Is on monthly prevention and will need to be retested in a year to verify treatment work did what it was supposed to (extremely high success rate). Reason for rehoming?: owner did not keep her contained and eventually moved away. For 4 years, she walked miles every day for food/water on her daily rotation having back to back litters. It is not simply that the neighbors did not care, she just wasn’t used to being contained and they struggling catching her and keeping her contained. I have had no issues keeping her contained in my back yard, but I do have a hot wire lining my fence and I am nowhere near the area she was wandering for all that time. House/crate trained?: she has only come inside my house a handful of times honestly, she prefers to be a yard dog as that is what she is used to. She has had no accidents when indoors though. Does need a fenced in yard. Potentially additional measures as mentioned above but I have no way of knowing until she is in the new situation/environment to see how she reacts as she never even tried escaping at my house. Additional info/story (personality): She is beyond sweet. No, she isn’t a house dog, but she is a loving dog. Out of the many animal’s I have taken to my vet, she is in their top 2 list of favs out of my group. While she is a yard dog, she walks decently well on a leash (I’m ~125 lbs and the only thing that is difficult is getting her in my car as in she isn’t one to drag me all over). She has been around tons of dogs and people with me with absolutely no issues. Vet had her in perfect health besides the heartworm treatment that we have completed. She is definitely past her puppy days and prefers to lay around instead of playing with the other dogs, but this could also be due to the recent heartworm treatments. I definitely wouldn’t consider her as a guard dog as she is such a people pleaser (she rarely barks - assuming it was learned behavior as she was surviving “on her own” for so long). Please help give her the furever home she has always deserved! Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home . Story
Location: Lexington, SC Name: Neptune Age: 1 year (DOB: 4/15/23) Breed: Coonhound/German Shepherd / Mix (mom was DNA tested) - 60 lbs M/F: M Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & dhpp; on heartworm prevention; neutered Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with other dogs and kids; have not cat tested but can upon request (should do fine, shy and submissive of new things) Aggression or medical issues?: major flea allergy - has to be kept on prevention during warm months Reason for rehoming?: mom was rescued very pregnant so he was born here - adopted and returned due to no fault of his own (apartment management changed and he didn’t meet breed requirements) House/crate trained?: yes Additional info/story (personality): Very sweet and very submissive. Pulls quite hard on a leash when scared or with a new human until he adjusts. Is a big baby and has no problem being held. Big personality, long, and lanky. Definitely a cuddle bug. Was raised in an apartment so was raised to not be very talkative even with his breed mix. Message/comment if interested. Story
Blu is a very loving dog I found as a stray. She has adjusted to life indoors rather than on the streets. She has some basic obedience: sit, down, shake and is house trained. She walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull. Unfortunately, my work schedule keeps me away from home for up to 12 hours and she needs more time than I can give. She is young, vet estimates about a year to a year and a half. She is energetic and very smart but needs some firm direction. I have a cat that she does relatively well with though she has a high prey drive and as long as the cat isn’t scampering around the house, Blu does very well with him. She needs someone with time to spend with her. I have a bed, leash, food and her monthly flea/tick medicine (5 months remaining) that Blu can take with her to her new home.
