Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 16, 2024, 6:51 am

Story
Romeo and Tyson: A Perfect Pair of brothers Romeo (approximately 4.5 years old) and Tyson (approximately 3.5 years old) are half-brothers who were adopted and raised together. Ideally, they would be adopted as a pair, as they adore each other and share a strong bond. Romeo is a gentle dog who loves doggie treats and also goes by the name "Ro-Ro." Tyson, who complements Romeo perfectly, responds to "Ty-Ty." Both are housebroken, know their names, and respond to a variety of commands, including: Sit, Come here, move over, Back up, Down, Let’s go upstairs, No, Give me your paw, Don’t move, Wait for me, Let’s go outside, Come back inside, Do you want a treat? They sleep peacefully in their individual crates at night from approximately 8:30 PM to 7:30 AM and share food and water bowls without issue. These loving, well-behaved brothers would make a wonderful addition to any family. If you’re looking for a ready-made pair of loyal companions, Romeo and Tyson are perfect for you

Story
Koda is a 7-year-old German Shepherd originally rescued in Yokosuka, Japan when he was just 1 yr old. He is from a family of police dogs, but did not undergo formal training due to abandonment. He has completed basic obedience and is a very loving boy. He is looking for a best friend who will be his companion for the rest of his life. We have had Koda for over 5 years now and never thought we would be in a position to have to rehome, but life threw a curve ball at us and we know Koda deserves better than what we can give him now. Koda suffers from separation anxiety, but we are hoping the right person will ease this transition for him. His next owner may feel he needs further formal behavioral training to fix his reactivity. It is imperative to us that he does not get rehomed again after this, so we are urging anyone interested to please reconsider if you have young children, a small breed dog, a geriatric animal, or cats (Koda does not know his size).
