Story
Meet Nano Meet Nano, the sweetest pup who loves all humans. This adorable gal craves attention and enjoys giving affection as much as receiving it. Nano likes nothing more than spending time with her humans and will follow them everywhere. She is also very smart, eager to please, and learns quickly. Because of her high energy level, Nano would do best with another dog in the home to play with or with an adopter who enjoys walking, running, or biking daily. After she loses a bit of weight, she will have even more energy! However, due to her enthusiasm and strength, Nano can be excitable and may accidentally knock over small children or individuals with mobility challenges. For this reason, she would thrive with a sturdy and balanced adopter who can handle her zest for life. Nano is currently working on her house training and will need an adopter who is patient and consistent as she continues to learn, especially when transitioning to a new environment. She is not fully crate trained, so her new family will need to provide guidance and support to help her succeed. She loves her ball toys but will settle down when asked. Her new owners should also be aware that she is not a fan of having her tail touched or her nails trimmed. She hasn’t spent much time with cats, so a slow introduction is essential if there are feline friends in the home. Nano is an all-around great dog who deserves a loving family of her own. She is around 5 years old and ready to bring joy, energy, and affection to the right home! Apply now at this link-https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
We rescued Duke when he was 7 months old, from a male abusive home. He is currently 4 1/2 years old. He is fighting with our other male pitbull who is in some of the photos. It’s to where we’re worried about both of their well beings. He’s potty trained, but extremely territorial and marks occasionally. He’s knows sit, speak, and lay down as well as stay and come back. He’s leash trained, but occasionally pulls if he gets excited. He’s off leash trained with us, and doesn’t leave our yard. He needs a calm home without other males dogs. He does well with our 2 female dogs, and has done well in the past with cats but it’s been a few years since he has interacted with any. We’re unsure of children as we don’t have any of our own. He’s a very good dog, we just don’t want any harm to come to either of our males.

Story
Kiera is a beautiful girl. She is a 2-3 year old mixed breed. She absolutely loves people and loves other dogs. She has met cats and does seem interested in them, but not aggressive. She would likely chase them if they ran though. Kiera tends to try to be the alpha around other dogs. She will push buttons with them, steal their toys, push them around, and be the big bossy sibling. So even though she still loves being with other dogs, not all dogs love being with her. We would not recommend her be with small dogs or alpha dogs. These are correctable behaviors and Kiera is a very smart dog. She already knows some commands and is very toy and food motivated. She loves to spend time with people and is very happy to learn new things. Kiera is also crate trained and housebroken. She is completely vetted and has no health problems. She loves to play with just about any kind of dog toy, go for walks (or better yet runs), play with other dogs, or whatever it is her person is doing. Kiera is just a very happy and social dog that was dealt a crappy hand. Now she is just waiting for a loving family to take her to her furever home.

Story
Steve is a one-year-old rescue pup with a heart as big as his goofy grin! While he might not win any spelling bees, Steve more than makes up for it with his playful, loving nature. He's still very much a puppy at heart and loves making new friends, especially other dogs. Steve has all his vaccinations, but does still need to be neutered. We would like to have him in a foster or a foster to adopt home before we have that done. He is also housebroken. Steve would definitely benefit from obedience training. He is a puppy gone wild in an adult dog body. Steve is searching for a foster or his forever home and he’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of tail wags to his new family. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling every day, Steve is your guy!

Story
Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.
