Story
Meet Nyla, a brave and loving special-needs dog who is looking for a forever home. Despite facing unique challenges, Nyla has an incredibly resilient spirit and a heart full of love. She is a shepherd/corgi mix (we think!) who is about eight months old, and while she may need a little extra care and attention, Nyla has so much to offer. She came into foster care with an old injury that resulted in urinary incontinence but that hasn't slowed her down. She turns heads whenever she goes and her personality is as big as her ears.  Why pick Nyla? Nyla is the kind of dog that aims to please and gets along with everyone. She is sweet, gentle, and always ready for affection. Nyla is known to get along well with other dogs and cats, and she loves playing with children, showing her friendly and social nature. She'll greet everyone with a wagging tail, ready to offer companionship. Oh, did we mention how lovely her ears are?! Nyla is a quick learner and loves to please her humans. She's ready to pick up new tricks and commands, using those ears for what they do best. Her intelligence makes her a great companion for someone who loves training and keeping their dog mentally stimulated.  What Nyla Needs: - Nyla thrives in a calm and patient environment, and she would do well with a family or individual who can provide consistency, love, and understanding. Due to her special needs, it would be ideal for Nyla to be with someone who is home regularly to let her outside frequently, ensuring she receives the attention and care she deserves. Nyla is a gigantic love bug with an army of fans wherever she goes. If you’re looking to make a difference in the life of a special dog, Nyla is waiting to meet you. With the right home, she will give you endless loyalty and joy. Please consider opening your heart to Nyla and offering a second chance at a happy life. She is available for adoption through Paws Across Pittsburgh KL#16182. ##2217741##

Story
Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Tucker! I am thought to be a german shepherd/heeler mix, about 8 months old, and looking for my fur-ever family!   I was given up due to my previous owner having severe medical needs.    I am: dog friendly crate trained potty trained kid friendly (no littles, please! I don't understand my size yet!)   I am working on: leash training (I do best with a harness) puppy manners learning how to play with kitties (I don't hurt them, but again, the puppy manners thing...!)   Due to my breeds, I think it's safe to say I'm high energy and will continue to need training and engagement well into my adult years!! Hiking? Running? Playing ball? Stuffed animals? Yes please to all!!!!   If you think I'd fit into your family, wow would that be the best present Santa could give me for the holidays!! If so, you can apply at: www.crossyourpaws.com   KLN 16814 501c3 nonprofit ##2237149##

Story
Meet Nano Meet Nano, the sweetest pup who loves all humans. This adorable gal craves attention and enjoys giving affection as much as receiving it. Nano likes nothing more than spending time with her humans and will follow them everywhere. She is also very smart, eager to please, and learns quickly. Because of her high energy level, Nano would do best with another dog in the home to play with or with an adopter who enjoys walking, running, or biking daily. After she loses a bit of weight, she will have even more energy! However, due to her enthusiasm and strength, Nano can be excitable and may accidentally knock over small children or individuals with mobility challenges. For this reason, she would thrive with a sturdy and balanced adopter who can handle her zest for life. Nano is currently working on her house training and will need an adopter who is patient and consistent as she continues to learn, especially when transitioning to a new environment. She is not fully crate trained, so her new family will need to provide guidance and support to help her succeed. She loves her ball toys but will settle down when asked. Her new owners should also be aware that she is not a fan of having her tail touched or her nails trimmed. She hasn’t spent much time with cats, so a slow introduction is essential if there are feline friends in the home. Nano is an all-around great dog who deserves a loving family of her own. She is around 5 years old and ready to bring joy, energy, and affection to the right home! Apply now at this link-https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq
