Story
Wylie is such a good boy. He is only 11 months old and a lean 65 lbs. Wylie does well in all situations and will make a great family dog, but is a touch timid, til he warms up (does not take long). He is great with dogs and cats. Would do best with an experienced family and a fenced yard and perhaps another dog. He is so much more handsome in person and friendly, affectionate, smart, and eager to please - not a mean bone in him. A must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   November 28, 2024, 7:34 am

Theo is such a great dog. He is only about 2 years old and a very thin 65 lbs at this time (needs at least 10+ lbs on him). Theo is good with dogs and kids and with cats. He is wonderful. We prefer a GSD experienced home and a fenced yard for this boy. He is a great companion and everything you love about the breed. A must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure.  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. Maya is the best emassador to the GSD breed! She is friendly and social and good in all situations. she is about 60 lbs and only 1 year old. Maya is good with kids, dogs, and cats (although we do not tend to put dogs with very young kids). She is smart and affectionate and eager to please. Breed experience is a must and we prefer a fenced yard, or folks with extensive training experience. She is awesome. A must meet for she is so much prettier in person and will steal your heart for sure. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. Story
Hey there, I’m Van! I’m am an 11-month-old Shepherd mix with big dreams of finding my forever home. I’ve been hanging out at the rescue for a little too long now, and I’m ready to meet the right family who will love me for who I am. I’m going to be a big boy when I’m fully grown, and I’ve got these stunning golden eyes that everyone says are just beautiful. I love playing with my rescue roommates, but I get a little nervous around small kids because their quick, unpredictable movements scare me. That’s why I need a calm, home with active adults who will be patient with me as I settle in and get used to life outside the rescue. Once I feel safe, I’ll be the best companion you could ask for—especially if you love walking, hiking and any playtime outside! I don’t want to brag, but I’m getting better at walking on a leash, I’m pretty much housebroken, and I love hanging out in my crate. Oh, and cats? I’ve been okay with them too! If you’re looking for a loving, loyal pup who just needs a little time and patience, I think we’d be a perfect match. Could you be my forever home? I sure hope so! So swing by our website at www.rdrne.org to fetch an application. He's just waiting to be your LoveBug :-) You must be at least 25 and live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. ##2021456##

Story
Hi, I`m Kona! Pleased to meet you, friend!Kona is a 3 year old, 70 lb Shepherd mix and a shelter employee and volunteer favorite! This big girl has got personality! A lover of long walks, hikes, car rides, belly rubs, and treatos! She`ll give a paw or two for cookies. She loves everyone she meets and she`s our `dog test` dog because of her calmness and mild mannered demeanor around fellow canines. So what`s the catch? Why do incredible dogs like Kona get overlooked? With great personality comes quirks sometimes. For Kona, it`s resource guarding. Simply put, in the past when she has decided something is hers... she has defended her ownership of it fiercely. Whether it be high value objects or food items. That said, she has received some training to work with her resource guarding and she has not had any incidences in almost a year now. Her daily dog walkers speak volumes of her as being the easiest dog to walk in the entire kennel. As well as most affectionate!Because of her past resource guarding, she would do best in a low traffic home without young children or other pets. Someone who has experience with canine resource guarding or can provide training for her would be of most benefit to her in a new home. Please give Kona the chance she deserves. She`s got so much love to give and so much joy to share!
