Story
Gabby (as we call her) was dumped at a local kill shelter along with her 7 pups. Thankfully our wonderful volunteer stepped up to foster. Gabby was heartworm positive and had to be treated and now she is very healthy and ready for her forever home. She is fostered with other dogs big and small and loves the little girl she is pictured with as well as any other human she meets. She loves to fetch and go for walks and rides and will make a great addition to any home ready for a large active dog. Her foster mom says she is just perfect and anyone who adopts is very lucky. if are interested in adopting our sweet Gabby, please visit FunnyFarmpets.org so you can read all about our Tennessee based rescue and how the adoption and transport processes work. You can submit your application to adopt at the following link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Her adoption fee will be $325, if Transport from West Tennessee is necessary that would be an additional $200 charge .

Story
Astro is a incredibly sweet and lovable dog who requires lots of attention and exersise. I adopted him 4 years ago from a friend who was called into active duty and needed a new home for Astro. He is absolutly great with kids as i have a 7 year old son and 2 nieces who live with me (4,8) and we have never had any incidents with him. He lives with another dog named lobo who he gets along great with. Astro doesnt do great around cats because he gets way to excited and is a little rough with them. I need to rehome him because my niece is sick and we learned very recently she is extremely allergic to dogs. He has never bitten anyone but is very protective of his family

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***COURTESY LISTING*** - AKIRO   Hi, I am Akiro and I am looking for a new family as I have too much energy for my current family.  I love kids but I don't know my size and knock the toddler down and I like to tackle the cat, as I just want to play with it.  MY NEW HOME WILL BE ONE WITH NO CATS AND IF CHILDREN (kids should be 10 or Older).  I love to play and run, so I would love to have a fenced in yard, but it is not required.  I do get along with other family member dogs, but would be best for us to meet to be sure we would get along.  I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take me long to acclimate.  I will need an owner that can be the ALPHA as I am strong willed with lots of energy.  On the positive side, I hardly bark and I am a lover once acclimated.  I am nine months old a believed to be a Shepherd mix.  I am currently living in York, PA. If interested and do not have an approved application with the rescue, you can complete one at:  HTTPS://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org   You must have an approved application to be considered for a Meet with me. Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.10/21 Zora, Maud, Klaus, Lars,  Edda, and Petra were born to a stray dog who has been staying in the same area for several years. This is her 4th litter. People in the neighborhood feed her, but no one can seem to catch her to have her spayed. We didn't find out about this situation until last week, when we were contacted by an 86 year old lady who is the one taking care of these pups. The mama dog brought these pups up to her house when they were only a few weeks old, and Ms. Fontaine has been trying to find a rescue to help with them since then. Unfortunately, all rescues in our area are overwhelmed and no one was able to help her. I went over to meet and vaccinate the pups last week. They are 5 months old. They are very scared and timid. Ms. Fontaine is able to pet all of them and even allows them in her house. They love her, and she loves them, but we are all afraid with her age, these pups are creating a fall risk for her. They do not jump on her, but wec are worried about her tripping over them. We would love to move them to other rescues if anyone knows a rescue who could take 1 or 2. They are also available for adoption, but adopters will need to be aware that they will definitely be a project. They will take a long time to gain confidence and build trust. They are NOT aggressive at all. I was able to give them all shots with not even a growl from any of them. They just hide and tremble. I do believe they have potential to be good pets, but it is going to require a lot of patience and work.  If anyone is interested in giving one of these pups a  let us know. We are working on getting them all fixed so they wont continue adding to the population. We will also continue efforts to trap the mama dog so we can stop the steady flow of pups.  We are all so overwhelmed. And it is next to impossible to find homes for dogs like these. Spayed/neutered UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Please consider giving one of these babies a good home. They will be so loyal and loving. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
