Story
Hi, I`m Kona! Pleased to meet you, friend!Kona is a 3 year old, 70 lb Shepherd mix and a shelter employee and volunteer favorite! This big girl has got personality! A lover of long walks, hikes, car rides, belly rubs, and treatos! She`ll give a paw or two for cookies. She loves everyone she meets and she`s our `dog test` dog because of her calmness and mild mannered demeanor around fellow canines. So what`s the catch? Why do incredible dogs like Kona get overlooked? With great personality comes quirks sometimes. For Kona, it`s resource guarding. Simply put, in the past when she has decided something is hers... she has defended her ownership of it fiercely. Whether it be high value objects or food items. That said, she has received some training to work with her resource guarding and she has not had any incidences in almost a year now. Her daily dog walkers speak volumes of her as being the easiest dog to walk in the entire kennel. As well as most affectionate!Because of her past resource guarding, she would do best in a low traffic home without young children or other pets. Someone who has experience with canine resource guarding or can provide training for her would be of most benefit to her in a new home. Please give Kona the chance she deserves. She`s got so much love to give and so much joy to share!

Story
Angus’s Adoption fee has been lovingly sponsored , ??Thank You Christine ??Angus has never had a single adopter intersted in him, he’s just falling between the cracks of the shelter system. Soon he will be one of the long term residents who never receive a second glance .180 days have passed since this boy was left behind in Moosic and nobody ever called regarding his absence. He was just another left behind animal in a sea of others who has no sense of past and no hope for future .We have enough hope for all of them .Angus is a 5 year old shepherd mix . He’s quirky and cute , a gorgeous brindle color and not overly large .Hes tested selective with other dogs and we will do a meet and greet with an approved application .You can apply to meet Angus and give him a chance at a forever family by applying here : https://www.cognitoforms.com/griffinpondanimalshelter1/griffinpondanimalshelteradoptionapplicationfordogsYou won’t know until you try ??

Story
Wylie is such a good boy. He is only 10 months old and a lean 50 lbs. Wylie does well in all situations and will make a great family dog, but is timid, til he warms up (does not take long). He is good with dogs and we can cat test. Would do best with an experienced family and a fenced yard and perhaps another dog. He is so much more handsome in person and friendly, affectionate, smart, and eager to please, once he knows you - not a mean bone in him. A must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   November 5, 2024, 12:24 pm

Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Kiwi is a 2yr old spayed female that weighs 37 lbs. Kiwi was a field stray who can be kennel reactive when in a new situation.  Has gotten better over time with the dogs in the area.  She can sit, but need some leash work as can pull when first gets out, then calms down.  Has been good with dogs she has been introduced to, but we recommend slow intros to any new dogs.  She has not been around children since with us, so we have to test her yet with kids. She has been good with all adults. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Kiwi please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org.No ##1864917##
