Story
Donut was brought to BCHS when he was found at a local daycare with an injury which required surgery to repair. Since then, he has recovered beautifully and doesn't seem to have any resulting side effects. Donut is a super silly boy with a big personality. He loves going on walks but can get a little too excited and start mouthing and jumping up so some training is recommended. He also would love to just lounge around with you on the couch while getting some pets. It's really the best of both worlds with this guy as long as you're willing to put in the work with him when it comes to walks. He also loves playing with his stuffed animals. Donut does need a grain free diet, including treats and table scraps. Donut would need to be in a dog and cat free home. If you think Donut would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

If you are interested in NOVA or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. NOVA is a smart, beautiful and wonderful soul. She wants nothing more than to please and be loved. Beautiful NOVA is the most perfect girl around! She is cuddly, sweet, goofy, well behaved, and always happy! NOVA loves other dogs of all ages and sizes and is a big fan of doggie daycare. She loves dogs so much, we feel she would be happiest in a home with at least one other canine friend. NOVA also loves to play with her toys and can entertain herself for hours on end. She is a clever, active girl who would do great with obedience or agility training to keep her bright mind and body in shape. With her happy personality and comical doggy antics, she is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face everyday. Sweet NOVA is potty trained, crate trained, and only chews on her toys. She does well in the car and would make an ideal traveling companion. She would also be a great companion on a restaurant patio for a little happy hour when the weather is nice . If your top 3 attributes in a new friend are smart, good-looking and affectionate, NOVA is the girl for you. She will bring so much light and warmth into her lucky forever family's life. Her $540 adoption fee covers her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the New England area. For an adoption application on NOVA click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Story
Meet Ajax! Ajax is a very sweet boy despite his past. Ajax came to us extremely thin and had severe skin issues. With lots of treatment and love, care and attention, Ajax is feeling better and ready to find his furever home! Due to the extreme skin issues that he had, he still has lots of scaring on his body where fur might not ever come back. Ajax would do best with someone who is familiar with the breed and has time and dedication to give him the exercise and care he needs. Ajax is a very smart boy and already knows how to sit, give paw, lay down, and even speak. He would love to fine-tune his skills and learn even more. Despite his past, Ajax is a very sweet boy. Now that he gets to be a normal dog we are finding out more and more about him every day. Like that his favorite toy is a a rope toy! If you are interested in learning more about Ajax or any of our other animals at ICHS, please fill out an application to come meet them in person. Applications can be found on our website or stop by and pick one up! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black
