Story
Meet Romy! Romy is a handsome boy with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. He’s the kind of dog who brings a calm, steady presence into a home — easygoing, affectionate, and happiest just being near his people.Romy has some hind-end conformation and mobility challenges, so he’s looking for a family that understands his need for a little extra support and a slower-paced lifestyle. While he may not be up for long hikes, he absolutely loves getting outside to explore at his own pace, taking his time to sniff and enjoy all the interesting smells around him.He still has a playful side too and enjoys a good game of ball, happily engaging in short bursts of fun before settling in to relax. Romy knows how to listen to his body and strikes a lovely balance between activity and rest. With his sweet nature and well-mannered personality, Romy would thrive in a calm, loving home that can offer him comfort, patience, and understanding. In return, he’ll be a loyal, gentle companion who will fill your days with quiet joy and unconditional love.If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, low-key best friend, Romy might just be the perfect match.IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:85 lbs.HOME TYPE:House. Winston, an 8-month-old All-Canadian mixed breed, is believed to be a mix of Shepherd and Husky. Winston's endearing nature makes him incredibly difficult to resist. He exhibits a fondness for other dogs and would benefit from having a playmate in his new home. As a young dog, he enjoys outdoor activities and playtime with his canine companions. It is not uncommon to find him napping alongside other dogs after an active session of play. According to his foster caregiver, Winston displays characteristics of a "Velcro Dog," as he prefers to remain close to his human. Whether he is lying next to her while she works or simply watching television in the evening, Winston consistently seeks companionship. A household where someone is frequently present would be ideal for his overall well-being. Winston has a love food and displays excitement during feeding times. Due to the presence of other dogs in the foster environment, he is usually fed in his crate to teach him  good doggie manners for feeding time. He demonstrates good manners when receiving treats, patiently sitting and waiting for his turn. His toys should be the "indestructible" type, as he has a tendency to dismantle them into smaller pieces, occasionally consuming these fragments. Winston has been vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He has also received monthly preventatives. Winston's adoption fee is $950.00, which includes health records and microchip registration.
