I’m Whiskey and I’m 1! I’m a total suck once you get to know me. At first I’m a bit standoffish and shy, but that’s just fear. I had a rough first few months until someone came along and took me from the man that kept hurting and scaring me.  I am such a good boy! I am super smart and curious and learn things quickly.  I love my crate, sleep all night in it, and I love love my kong. I carry it around like a soother. I can  sit and lay down, I’m working on learning to stay but it’s just so hard!  Unfortunately, my owner’s older dog does NOT like having an annoying puppy with lots of energy around. He picks on me and now I’m scared of him. I don’t think I like big dogs. Little ones might be ok but I’m not very good with social cues.  I am in home with 4 cats so they’re ok. Sometimes I try to get them to play, but can quickly be redirected. I would do best in a home with a yard to run and burn off my energy. Because I am so fearful, I should probably not be in a home with children under 12.   https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption   A re-homing fee of $150 will be paid to Animalert at the time of adoption.  If you think you will be able to give Whiskey the perfect home, please complete our online adoption application.   If you wish to learn more about Animalert, please visit our website at    https://www.animalert.ca/ Due to the volume of emails, phone calls and messages Animalert receives, it is not always possible to respond to every application. Story
Hello! My name is Tinsel! My name is festive in hopes that I`ll be able to join a new family before the holidays! I`m a super lovable girl. I am tall which can make my jumping up fun. I`m sorry, it`s just that I get so excited to see my human friends! I`m playful and enjoy the company of other dogs. After I get my energy out with some long walks and fun play sessions, I will snuggle up with you for a good movie!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Yes, older and mature. No young children, given I am large and exuberant and likely to knock them over.OTHER DOGS: Yes, I would love to have a play buddy in the home.CATS: Not recommended unless you have a very dog-savvy cat and experience doing dog-cat intros.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Potentially, if you have some dog experience and have the time and patience for a puppy in a grown-up body.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartments or other environments where barking will cause problems. SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, but I wouldn’t be ideal for a home where I’ll be left a full work day.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high. HOUSE-TRAINED: Almost! With a consistent schedule and frequent outings, I should make good progress! If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `adopt me` button to apply!
