Story
I really need a family with another dog (or can be only dog), a securely fenced yard and someone that works from home. You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out an application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other I need an active German Shepherd family home. Patty is a 3 yr old 80 lb active German Shepherd mix (probably some Belgian Malnois) I will do best with an active alpha German Shepherd experienced owner with a secure 6 ft fenced yard. I am a semi energetic happy gal that LOVES my people unconditionally. I do like other dogs and cats. I like daily walks, car rides, toys, dog beds and hanging out with my humans. I am house trained and crate trained. (but much prefer being free and hanging out with my humans ....do you work from home?) I will require daily walks and some dog training. No children under 6 yrs of age. I am NOT an apartment or condo dog. I am a family pet! This is a courtesy post for Helotes Humane Society You can contact us directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com, or fill out and application at either https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. I would love to have a dog buddy in the home to romp around with and go for hikes with. I`m currently in my teenage and chewing stages so I`m looking for a home that has the time and interest in training and has the patience to work with me through this fun stage in puppy life!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Yes, older and mature as I am very large and can be exuberant.OTHER DOGS: Yes, a friendly dog who likes to play.CATS: Yes, with a cat confident with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Potentially, if you have large dog experience and a good plan for training.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended given my size and energy.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any, with homes with yard preferred.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, but would be ideal until I’m a bit older.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high. Story
Winnie the German Shepherd x Doberman mix! At least those are two of her breeds listed on her DNA results! Cool stuff! But if you are looking for your own Winnie to your Piglet to go on adventures with, look no further! This lovely girl came to us as a stray but was never claimed. No matter, that didn`t stop her from becoming a well-known face around here. When Winnie first arrived, she was a little shy and hesitant around new people and would give a loud bark to let them know she was there! But with socialization and exposure to new faces, Winnie has come out of her shy shell and is ready to make some friends!Winnie is very treat motivated and already knows sit, down, give paw, touch and is even working on roll over! Oh, did I mention, she aced the wobble board training too! She is a very smart girl who will have an easy time with training. She can be a little excited on leash and pull a bit but is doing well with her training and will even stop at doors and wait for them to be opened. With how smart she is, she will stride next to you in no time. Just have those treats handy!Winnie`s ideal home would give her the ability to exercise frequently throughout the day whether that be in a closed backyard with some rounds of fetch, a nice long walk for her to sniff some things out or even some mental stimulation with some puzzle games!Winnie may do well in a house with other dogs but a meet and greet would be ideal. As for kids, Winnie would probably love them but because of her size and how excited she gets, older kids may be best around her!If you`re ready for your next adventure, please contact Toronto Animal Services West Shelter at 416-338-6271 during regular business hours. Meet and greets are being done by appointment only.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sophie is a sweet, affectionate shepherd that’s ready to find her perfect family! Her ideal home would have previous experience with working dogs and plenty of time for exercise and enrichment (it’s the smart ones that always find trouble when they get bored!). Sophie previously lived with other dogs but has preferred to keep to herself since arriving at the shelter. She currently isn’t suitable for off-leash parks but may do well in a controlled setting with a canine companion that respects her personal space. She may do well in a home with older, dog-savvy children but keep in mind she can be a little bit mouthy. Sophie has been very stressed since her arrival but is making great strides every day. We are still getting to know her, and her new family will need to be patient as she adjusts to life in her new home. (PS she’s become a fantastic cuddler). If you think Sophie might be the right fit for your family, then please contact Toronto Animal Services West Shelter to start the adoption process. Please note that meet and greets are done by appointment only.

Story
Kelly is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Jindo Mix who was rescued from a shelter that performs euthanasia. She had been taken there with her siblings, and while her siblings were adopted by other families, Kelly remained at the shelter. She was rescued just before euthanasia was performed. She is currently living in a foster home with cats and small children. She is friendly enough to approach cats and invite them to play, and she is gentle and kind with children. She is a little afraid of adult men, but if you give her plenty of time and approach her slowly, she can warm up quickly. She gets along well with other dogs and has a caring nature. She avoids conflict with other dogs, especially small dogs when they bark or become vicious. Kelly rarely barks inside the house, and may bark a few times if a stranger visits, but responds well to commands to stop. She is fully potty trained to only relieve herself outdoors. She has a calm demeaner and does not run or make a fuss indoors. Kelly is a wonderful dog with a neat personality who can get along well with other animals. If you give her time to warm up, she'll surely share much love with you. Be part of Kelly's caring and loving family.
