Story

Maggie is so attached to her people! She is a typical German Shepherd and wants her person at her side. She absolutely loves attention and affection. She does amazing on leash and is well kenneled trained. She can scale any size fence or enclosure to be with her people. At her current home the fences are 6 foot and gates are 4 foot and she stays in her yard as long as she has a dog friend or her person but she should not be trusted outside alone for long periods of time. She loves to run and play with dog friends of all sizes and ages. She is very submissive if a friend tells her they are done playing, she will back off. Maggie was brought to us from an amazing foster from another rescue who pulled her from the OKC shelter. She was very fearful and scared and first so she was very reserved and shy. With plenty of one on one handling and lots of love and affection she has learned that there are good people in the world and she wants nothing more than to give her little heart to one perfect person who will love her forever. She is very attentive to her surroundings and protects her yard with a loud scary bark. Although he’s hyper and goofy, his nature is gentle, and he enjoys spending time with people and other dogs alike. Burgers is not your typical German Shepherd—he’s a bit more reserved than most, but that only adds to his charm. He gets along well with all dogs and loves socializing. Treats and food are some of his favorite things, so training him with rewards will be a breeze! With his energy and enthusiasm, Burgers would make a fantastic hiking buddy. He’s always ready for an adventure and would love to explore the outdoors with you. Burgers has a resilient spirit. He came to the shelter after a rough start, having been hit by a truck and surrendered by a homeless person who cared for him. Despite the accident, he remains cheerful and active, though he has some temporary discomfort in his rear and an occasional limp in his front right paw. The shelter originally tagged Burgers for euthanasia due to these injuries, but he is hyper, happy, and full of love—his gentle nature shines through even when he’s bursting with energy.
