Story
You wouldnt know it to look at me now a sweet gentle girl who loves belly rubs and snuggles and gets along great with other dogs and cats -- but Ive come a long way. As a pup on the street, I was thin, malnourished and frightened, wandering North Tulsa hungry and abused. I was pretty much skin and bones when I came into rescue. Its been quite a journey for me, and Im ready to take the next step. My greatest wish is to find a family where I can show what a loyal, obedient, and affectionate girl I am. Im ready and if youre ready to take in a great new family member, adopt me!Call 918-264-8744 to schedule a time to meet me, or fill out the application to get pre-approved at https://garcok.org/pet-application/Im sweet and gentle in nature even though I havent always been treated well. As a pup on the street, I was thin, malnourished, and frightened, wandering North Tulsa, hungry and abused. A good Samaritan started feeding me, until I finally let them lead me indoors. Then, they called Grace Animal Rehab Center. I was pretty much skin and bones, but slowly, with much love and nutritional food, they brought me up to my ideal weight.Ive learned to love living indoors and being a pet, but I'm a bit skittish around strangers because of my past life when people werent kind. If you adopt me, GARC will guide you on how to ease that in a very short time.

Story
Tessa is the most loving, sweet girl. And once she trusts you, it is amazing just how loving and loyal she is. She bonds with a deep heart and wants to be with you always. She loves to snuggle on the sofa and nap with her foster dog sibling. She is house and crate trained. She puts herselft 'to bed' in the crate. She loves all treats and toys! On leash walks she is gentle, but still interested in checking things out. She rides well in the car. She loves watching Pup Academy! She is young and curious. She is getting more comfortable with new things, especially if she is with someone she trusts. She would follow her person anywhere and feel safe. Tessa is a little shy initially but has made great progress while staying with her foster. Tessa would make a great companion for a calm, quiet home and seems content with basic daily life activities. She hasn't been around a lot of children, but would be fine with older children and with slow, patient introductions. She has not been around cats yet. Tessa is spayed, current on vaccines and ready for her furever home!

Story
Adopted her Christmas of 2020, she was the only pet we had until may 2022 we got our second dog who we got at a week old; then we had our son 2 months later. She got used to our second dog since he was a puppy but our son she has never warmed up to. She is playful and full of energy. She can be timid as she was 4-5 months old when we adopted her and they found her on the streets. Unknown what happened to her prior to us adopting. She gets nervous occasionally and may pee. She does not like other cats or older/ larger dogs. She would do fine if it were a younger or smaller dog. She weighs about 55 lbs & is around 4 1/2 years old. She loves car rides and long walks. Our son is 2 1/2 and she still doesn’t like him despite his efforts to be kind and calm when approaching her. She would do best as the only pet in a home or with older children. She does get nervous around men but will warm up quickly once trust is established. We love Ava dearly and want to see her go to a loving home!

Story
Theo's owner passed away and he is needing a new home. He takes a minute to adjust to new people. Adopting Theo will require you to come to the rescue a few times to meet and spend some time getting to know Theo and let him get comfortable with you. Once Theo has accepted you, he is a loyal companion. He has a solid temperament and listens well. Theo gets along very well with other dogs. Being a working dog breed he will need a home that knows the breed and can provide and active life style.

Story
Jasmine is a gentle and sweet-natured dog who thrives on love and attention. Initially hesitant and shy when stepping out of her kennel, she responds well to gentle encouragement and treats, which help her feel more at ease. Once out on the lead, she walks comfortably and enjoys the calmness outside, away from the bustling noise of other dogs. Jasmine exhibits curiosity as she explores the yard, yet she consistently seeks reassurance and affection from her human companions. Her friendly demeanor extends to other dogs, as seen in her pleasant interaction with another dog in the adjacent yard. Jasmine`s unique appearance is endearing, and it`s heartening to see her face healing beautifully from previous wounds, thanks to the care she`s received. With her loving nature and resilience, Jasmine is sure to make a wonderful companion for anyone willing to provide her with the warmth and affection she craves.
