Story
You might be looking at me wondering, What breed is that pretty girl? Well, Im actually a rare breed known as a Canine Lovebuginus. If you dont know Latin, thats a dog who loves belly rubs, kisses, snuggles and kibbles. And thats me! So put away those DNA tests and take me home and love on me!Call 918-264-8744 to schedule a time to meet me, or fill out the application to get pre-approved at https://garcok.org/pet-application/ Im sweet and gentle in nature even though I havent always been treated well. As a pup on the street, I was thin, malnourished, and frightened, wandering North Tulsa, hungry and abused. A good Samaritan started feeding me, until I finally let them lead me indoors. Then, they called Grace Animal Rehab Center. I was pretty much skin and bones, but slowly, with much love and nutritional food, they brought me up to my ideal weight.Ive learned to love living indoors and being a pet, but I'm a bit skittish around strangers because of my past life when people werent kind. If you adopt me, GARC will guide you on how to ease that in a very short time.

Story
This beautiful girl is pretty calm and laid back, with bursts of puppy energy. She is doing great with house and crate training. She has learned to sit, walk on a leash and play fetch. She is good with dogs and kids, cats are unknown. She is going to be a big girl. This is Tessa, our foster pup, available for adoption through Sand Springs Animal Welfare. Look at that sweet face! She heard that sticks are going to be the "in thing" this fall so she likes to carry a cute one around every chance she gets. She is calm and quiet (which is a big deal with my hubby ). She is crate trained, does well on a leash, and is doing very well with basic commands. She has good manners and corrects very easily when she forgets every now and then. She likes kids and gets along well with our bully-mix boy. She hasn't been around cats but does just fine with our 8 pound Havanese so I think she would do ok with cats too. She hasn't had an accident in the house in awhile. She doesn't yet walk to the door on her own to let you know she has to go out, but she follows our dog and goes in/out of the house easily, so she has about got it figured out. She is a GSD mix and weighs about 40 pounds at 5 months old. Tessa is very sweet and looking for a forever home. If hubby is saying good things about her, you know there is something good there. Tessa would make a great best friend. She has been spayed, vaccinated and ready to go home today!

Story
Hello, I adopted Rhett as a 6 week old puppy from some friends who could no longer keep him. He is going to turn 6 in February. He is a very well behaved, energetic loving dog who will be great for a household with kids. He absolutely loves to be outside and play. He will run and play fetch as long as someone will throw to him. I want him to be in a loving home who will love him as their own and will take care of him. I am starting a new job and will be traveling and as much as it pains me to relocate him, he deserves to be in a place where he can spend more time with a family who is around more than I am. He does not chew on anything or tear anything up. He is a very good dog and I want him to live his life in a place where someone will love him unconditionally.

Story
Hello, I'm Jill! I'm an adult dog with a zest for life. My days are filled with exploration and play. I'm quite the smarty pants too, often impressing everyone with my quick learning. But don't be fooled by my energy, I love to snuggle and give sweet kisses. My loyalty is unwavering, and once we bond, we're a team for life. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, my friendly nature shines through. Adopting me means gaining a friend who'll bring joy, companionship, and a whole lot of love into your life.

Story
Bronson is my 9 m/o GSD. He has high, playful energy and is highly intelligent. He will play for as long as you or your dog wants and is intensely focused when learning commands. He knows many commands such as sit/down, leave it, place, back, and gentle. As well, he is incredibly loyal and protective (even of other dogs) and would make for a fantastic addition to a family! He loves playing fetch with his frisbee and will run all day! A good long walk is always nice with him as he is good a heeling ( He will get nervous and distracted around loud noises and so needs a little reassurance at times). One of his best traits is gentleness towards children. Bronson is very sweet and has shown to be very loving and playful around them. I will either have him neutered prior to adoption or will pay for neutering if adopted and will have an e collar. He is best suited for a family with children who would play with him or a close companion that can spend a great a good deal of time with him.

Theo's owner passed away and he is needing a new home. He takes a minute to adjust to new people. Adopting Theo will require you to come to the rescue a few times to meet and spend some time getting to know Theo and let him get comfortable with you. Once Theo has accepted you, he is a loyal companion. He has a solid temperament and listens well. Theo gets along very well with other dogs. Being a working dog breed he will need a home that knows the breed and can provide and active life style.
